[Bug 681768] Re: Merge powertop-1.13-1.1 from debian unstable

2010-11-26 Thread Jesper Larsen
powertop (1.13-1.1ubuntu1) natty; urgency=low

  * Merge from debian unstable (LP: #681768), remaining changes:
- Cherrypick upstream patch 0a8620213f1841a to stop hardcoding the maximum
number of C and P states. This makes powertop work on ARM processors as
well, which have a lot of those states. Thanks to Amit Arora for the
  patch! (LP: #627975)

I have an Intel Advanced-N 6200 card. I have re enabled n support and
have normal throughput/packet loss on both g and n connection. I guess
this bug is not affecting all cards with the iwlagn driver. This is on a
fully updated natty installation.

2010-11-21 Thread Jesper Larsen
gettext (0.18.1.1-3ubuntu1) natty; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian testing (LP: #678161). Remaining changes:
- Build Java components with gcj.
- Throw away /usr/lib/gettext/gnu.gettext*; we don't need them.
- Explicitly configure with --disable-csharp.
- Keep gettext.jar in /usr/share/gettext instead of moving it to
  /usr/share/java.
- debian/control: Drop autopoint recommends of gettext. It pulls in git and
other sizable packages which make the CDs explode.

Public bug reported:

I've come across a bunch of ACPI issues (or that's at least what I think

 - No valid temperature readings (I get one that is always 27 degrees)

I've added debug information as per instructed in

[Bug 484263] [NEW] pidgin should use low urgency on logon notifications

2009-11-17 Thread Jesper Larsen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin

In the Desktop Notifications Specification (http://www.galago-
project.org/specs/notification/0.9/x320.html) a logon is a low urgency
notification.

With the tested pidgin 1:2.6.2-1ubuntu7 (lucid) the urgency is normal.

The urgency level is tested with notify-osd in debug mode (default in
lucid at the moment)

Actions needed:

Change logon urgency to low, to reflect Desktop Notifications
Specification

[Bug 345001] [NEW] Rhythmbox plugin still not compatible with XDG

2009-03-18 Thread Jesper Larsen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-do-plugins

The lastest version of gnome-do-plugins (0.8.1.3+dfsg-0ubuntu2) contains
a patch to make the Rhythmbox plugin use the XDG dirs.

This doesn't work for me. It tries to access
~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml instead of
~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml

The file ~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml does exist.

A purge of both gnome-do and gnome-do-plugins and a reinstall doesn't help.
XDG is kept at the default settings.

[Bug 345001] Re: Rhythmbox plugin still not compatible with XDG

2009-03-18 Thread Jesper Larsen
It turned out the problem was that the plugin didn't actually get
upgraded. removing the folder ~/.local/share/gnome-do and adding the
plugin again helped. Both the trunk and the version in jaunty repos
work.

But perhaps there's a problem how the upgrade functions. Seems like the
addin db isn't updated properly.

[Bug 343624] [NEW] rhythmdb.xml no longer present

2009-03-16 Thread Jesper Larsen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

In the recent update to version 0.11.99.1-0ubuntu1 the folder
/home/user/.gnome2/rhythmbox no longer contains the playlist or rhythmdb
xml files.

This means I no longer can use the Rhythmbox plugin for Gnome-do, as it
searches for rhythmdb.xml in this folder.
Rhythmbox does save the library when exited, but seems the database has been
moved.

Reverting to the previous version in jaunty will generate output in
/home/user/.gnome2

I don't know if it is intentional or not.

If the database has moved permanently, where has it gone?

klog points to /usr/locale/bin/klog while alternatives points to

Putting /usr/bin before /usr/locale/bin in the PATH environment variable solves

[Bug 262292] Re: [intrepid] clicking is not working after merging

I can confirm the patch upstream fixes the issue. It's in their trunk,
so I guess it will hit ubuntu in the near future.

Meanwhile I've applied the patch and published it through my PPA:

[Bug 262824] Re: wxwidget 2.8.8 into intrepid don't support large file

I was able to compile aMule 2.2.2 with the libwxgtk2.8-dev package
installed (currently version 2.8.8.0-0ubuntu1).

Can you please verify that you have this package installed, and if not
install it and try compiling again.

[Bug 262849] Re: Intrepid 2.6.27-1 xubuntu touchpad tapping not working

2008-08-29 Thread Jesper Larsen
Confirmed here as well. Was pretty sure tapping worked in 2.6.26 for me,
so tried booting up an old kernel (2.6.26-5) and tapping didn't work.
Unfortunately I just cleaned up in the old kernels so I can't try a
2.6.25 kernel.

Attaching some logs and info.
