Re: [ubuntu-in] Reliance 3G USB Mobile Broadband Dongle
I am using it. Had to no nothing except plug it in and fix one line in default config for reliance smart net. Setting APN to rcomnet Rest is working fine. Just to clear thing i was on 10.10 and then moved to a fresh 11.04 yesterday. Maybe 10.04 has its own set of issues but nm update should fix all that. enjoy Locx On Thu, May 5, 2011 at 1:01 PM, Kaushal Shriyan kaushalshri...@gmail.com wrote: Hi, Have Anyone configured Reliance 3G USB Mobile Broadband Dongle on Ubuntu Linux 10.04 ? I have the latest modemmanager and NM and Tried all options but works fine in Ubuntu Linux 10.10. Any clue ? Re: [ubuntu-in] Interested in hearing about ser experiences about Karmic Koala (9.10)
hi, am using pidgin on my machine since last month with audio video support. i am running mint linux which is a UI enhanced version of Ubuntu 9.04. In case any of you want to try mint wait for 15 20 days for them to come out with new release based on 9.10 regards Lokesh On Fri, Oct 30, 2009 at 3:45 PM, Abhinav Modi abhinavm...@gmail.com wrote: On Fri, Oct 30, 2009 at 10:19 AM, Ramnarayan.K ramnaraya...@gmail.comwrote: Hi am keen to know what user feedback there if for Karmic Koala , from users on the list who may have upgraded / reinstalled. Have been using it since one of the beta versions. TBH, I do not see much of an external difference. The upgrade process was smooth. The startup time seems to have decreased, which is good. The boot splash does not show any info, which is good for some users - personally, I would like some text to keep appearing on what is happening. Maybe there is a tweak for that. Things to try: * UEC (The cloud computing thing) - Looks promising. * Install on ext4 might show greater performance increase * I use pidgin, as I haven't gotten hang of the empathy client yet. Pidgin does support voice/video with google. Tried setting it up. The Video is fine, but the audio is not coming out properly. Maybe if someone upgrades from 9.04 directly (instead of continuous incremental upgrades via alpha/beta), they will see a more discernible difference :) Would of course recommend upgrading from 9.04 HTH Abhinav http://indimark.blogspot.com http://www.employees.org/~abhinav/bloghttp://www.employees.org/%7Eabhinav/blog -- ubuntu-in mailing list ubuntu-in@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in -- $ emerge -uD life (Upgrade life with dependencies) -- ubuntu-in mailing list ubuntu-in@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in

Why can't you sue them?? Take them to court about being biased and not respecting you feeling. On the other hand why do u need to install ubuntu when you are having MacOsX which is simply awsome. Re: [ubuntu-in] tataindicom plug2surf jaunty
I use NetworkManager applet for the same purpose.. hardly any issue.. Just go to edit connections and in mobile broadband do add Tataindicom Plug2surf from existing options. select auto connection to be active. You will just have to plug in the usb to get it connected automatically. Much less hassle than wvdial conf issues.
