[Bug 1283826] Re: lightdm hangs after updates

2014-04-18 Thread Reeyarn
Hi, I got a similar problem today after running
 apt-get dist-upgrade
to upgrade to 14.04.

After running it my desktop cannot show up when reboot.
However, I found I can still use Cirl+Alt+F1 to go to tty1 and login using my
user account with root privilege.

Then I solved the problem and get my desktop back by running
 apt-get install ubuntu-desktop lightdm

It seems to me the package lightdm has been removed during the dist-
upgrade. I don't know what happened though.

[Bug 1072693] Re: Empathy does not connect accounts, Facebook, Google, Outlook

2012-11-02 Thread Reeyarn
It's interesting. I created a new system account, login to ubuntu, configure
the uoa, start the empathy, it works.
If I login using my own system account created long ago, I configure the uoa
and run empathy, empathy can't get my settings.

I have uploaded a attachment, comparison.tar.gz, where I have the
empathy-debugger logs for both situations.
For other information of my system, pls refer to attachments at

[Bug 851023] Re: Enable Wireless in Network Manager Applet grayed out

Sorry...But I just confirmed that this problem was not related to
NetworkManager. I created a new user as root user, logged in unity, and
NetworkManager behaved OK. It could be the permission problem of my

[Bug 845748] Re: compiz crashed with SIGSEGV in main_arena()

2011-09-15 Thread Reeyarn
I just encountered one more incidence minutes ago and have to press
Cirl+Alt +F1 to run sudo restart lightdm at console.

At that time, I had chrome open, empathy open. I trid to use
Cirl+Shift+Alt+Down to move my current window, which is chrome, down to
another virtual desktop. Then suddenly, compiz restarted twice, the
unity panel in the top was gone, and I had to restart X.

Is it the same problem? Or do I need to report a new bug? Thanks.
