[Bug 774363] Re: cx88-blackbird driver hangs when used
Thanks Jean-Louis. I'll wait until the patched kernel is issued by Ubuntu release team as an official update. Meanwhile I've blacklisted the troubling modules by creating blacklist-cx8800.conf file in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and listed all cx88 related modules (file attached). After blacklisting the modules, the issue does not appear any more. ** Attachment added: Add this file to /etc/modprobe.d/ to work around the hangs until patched kernel is released https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/774363/+attachment/2105849/+files/blacklist-cx8800.conf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774363 Title: cx88-blackbird driver hangs when used -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 775543] [NEW] xhci_hcd: Timeout while waiting for a slot - Issue with USB3 hard disk on 11.04 x86_64
Public bug reported: I do have USB 3 add-on controller and USB 3 external hard disk. [Bug 774014] [NEW] Random process hangs after clean Kubuntu 11.04 natty install
Public bug reported: After installing fresh Kubuntu 11.04 Natty on my desktop PC, I experienced some issues with application and process hangs. There is also a problem with my USB 3 hard disk. These sort of problems did not happen on Kubuntu 10.10 installed on the same PC (on separate partition). The hangs manifest themselves with kernel log messages like these: [ 960.480151] INFO: task amarok:2505 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
