2016-04-27 Thread Rodrigo-vivi
Probably a bisect on drm-intel-nightly is less painful.
But it seems that we are indeed now duplicating the discussion and there is
more information on the other bug. Please reopen if you believe this one here
is a different case.

[Bug 1554613]

2016-04-10 Thread Rodrigo-vivi
Another bisect attempt would be ideal.

Since it happens with i915.enable_psr=0 it is not PSR related.

But anyway, could you please provide more info about your system:
- full dmesg after booting with drm.debug=0xe
- /var/log/Xorg.0.log
- what graphical environment you use
- do you have an external monitor attached?
- Is there anything special that triggers the flickering? something like: "it
starts flickering when having more than one monitor I try to move the cursor to
the external one"
- Could you please try i915.enable_dc=0 i915.disable_power_well=0

Thanks,
Rodrigo.

revert of bisected commit...

Hi there,

First of all please accept my apologies for using different emails here
and in the commits. But besides the auto-complete with only my name as
Jani suggested I'm always open for direct emails.

So, there are 2 separated tests that I'd like you to to perform:

1. Apply the attached patch and let me know if the issue goes away.

2. Without applying any patch boot with i915.enable_psr=2.

Thanks,

[Bug 1315369]

2014-09-12 Thread Rodrigo-vivi
Hi Maarten,

Our QA couldn't reproduce the issue here, Paulo couldn't reproduce the
issue as well. I tried with IVB, eDP+HDMI and couldn't reproduce.

Then I went to our lab and got a SNB with LVDS and DP, installed a fresh
14.04, configured the external monitor to the left side and waited 5
minutes and also couldn't reproduce the issue. after 5 minutes it is
lock and black and after I move the mouse everything just light up and I
can normally log in.

On launchpad bugzillas I've seem people reporting the issue with non intel gpu.
or with hibrid using fglrx.

Please provide more info here. Can you double check if this happens even
without hibrid and without the fglrx driver and provide the logs?

Thanks,
Rodrigo.

[Bug 1315369] Re: Log in not available after lock screen with multi-monitor

2014-06-11 Thread Rodrigo Vivi
Thanks.

Could you please test with a different kernel? It would help us to
verify if there is already a patch for this issue available.

If possible test with our development branch drm-intel-nightly from
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-intel/log/?h=drm-intel-nightly

[Bug 1194934] Re: eDP powered off while attempting aux channel communication

2013-08-06 Thread Rodrigo-vivi
After various hotplug fixes and rework that are landing on 3.11 this bug isn't
reproducible with new kernels and production machines.
One thing it is worthful to try it the Takashi fix:

In i915_drm_freeze(), dev_priv-enable_hotplug_processing must be set to false
before calling intel_modeset_disable(). (And better to cancel the pending,
too.) Otherwise you'll get spurious hotplug events

Created attachment 54488
drm/i915: Fix TV Out refresh rate.

TV Out refresh rate was half of the specification for almost all modes.
Due to this reason pixel clock was so low for some modes causing flickering
screen.

[Bug 480220]

2011-11-23 Thread Rodrigo-vivi
The flickering appears always for any pclk 20, independent of screen
resolution or refresh rate.

I could reproduce with 2 different boards: 945GME and 82945G/GZ.

On the first one I had to add newmodes forcing the pclk = 20 in order
to avoid the flickering:

xrandr --newmode 640x480_20 20 640 664 720 800 480 483 487 500
xrandr --addmode TV1 640x480_20
xrandr --output TV1 --mode 640x480_20

On the 82945G/GZ the flickering wasn't appearing in any resolution so I
forced pclk = 19.99 in order to get it flickering.

Re: [Ubuntu-BR] imprimir a tela da console

2010-10-29 Thread Vivi

Você quer imprimir a tela do console conforme aparece
 ou
quer imprimir a partir de uma aplicação cobol? Em geral programas cobol
imprimem em lpt. Não seria questão de simplesmente redirecionar a saída
 para
a impressora correta no sistema?

 adequadamente.

 Um abraço.

[Ubuntu-BR] Atualização do ubunto

2008-11-03 Thread Vivi
Olá
Quero atualizar minha versão do Ubunto para a versão 8.10, minha dúvida é a
seguinte:
Eu baixo a versão e reinstalo meu micro ou tem como atualizar sem
reinstalar? Se sim como faço?

Desde já agradeço

Re: Rotation and calibration

2008-10-06 Thread Rodrigo Vivi
You shouldn't experience this.

Maybe there is a bug in your xserver which should be handling it
transparently using a tranformCordinates matrix.

Please take a look to this patch:
http://labs.vivi.eng.br/blog/rotation-patches/adding-support-to-xrandr-on-xomap.patch
mainly considering the hw/kdrive/src/kinput.c changes...

I did it some time ago to fix the rotation on Mamona/Maemo. I hope it helps.

Cheers,
vivijim

I have screen rotation working using Xrandr and a launcher which is

and swap them out via CLI so that I can add the command to the launcher
when it rotates? Also if there is an easier way, I would love to use
 that instead.

 Thanks,

Hi,

Actually don't apply that patch directly because it is for xomap.

The only part that may be useful for you is this: (against kinput.c)

diff -ruN xorg-server-1.3.99.0~git20070321/hw/kdrive/src/kinput.c

However, take a look to kinput.c from xorg main stream to see if there
is something better there...
This patch is a little bit old...
