If you do a two finger swipe from the bottom, this always brings up the

[Bug 1558663] [NEW] Ubuntu Components is hard on the disk and CPU when loading images

Public bug reported:

 * Take the following simple example of a listview with an image.
 * run it with strace qmlscene
 * scroll the list to the bottom


When not including "import Ubuntu.Components 1.3" there is exactly one disk 
access to load the image
open("/home/tsdgeos_work/test/face.png", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = 19

When including "import Ubuntu.Components 1.3" there are around 500 disk
access including stats for the file and listing the directory containing
the file (see disk_access file).

Also for each of those directory listings we're also creating and
destroying the same QRegExp again and again.

I understand that some of this overhead is needed since we have that
thing that loads the best possible file for the given grid units, but
doing it again and again for the same file seems a bit of overkill,
maybe we could cache that?

The only way i can actually see this happening from the code is if you
do have a keyboard.

I spent some time on this on yesterday and i can confirm that by having
this code in various places of unity-scope-click

click::Date d1;
d1.timestamp = 1437758185;   // Yes i made the timestamp member public for that 
to work
qWarning() << "CCC" << d1.formatted().c_str();

And using hungarian as a language (i.e. Magyar) sometimes the output of
the warning is "júl" (with utf8 encoding) and sometimes is just "jl" so
it seems like for some reason

std::stringstream s;
s << boost::locale::as::date << timestamp;

is formatting things different from one time to another.

Other point of view is, poppler uses its own JPEG2000 parser if openjpeg
is not present.

That parser is probably worse security wise than the openjpeg one and
the poppler developers just keep it for compatibility, but won't refuse
to spend time on it when there's maintained code out there that
implements JPEG2000 parsing better.

So maybe by makig openjpeg not go to main you're exposing your users to
an even bigger threat
