[Bug 578937] Re: package noip2 2.1.9-3 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso script post-installati on instalado devolvió el código de salida de err or 1

[Bug 490664] [NEW] Samba stopped working between 9.10 LiveCD and current installed system.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba With samba installed on 9.10 on my server, atlas, I am able to connect from another system running an earlier version of Kubuntu using the command smbclient //atlas/rozen. However, other systems on my local network cannot including one running XP and one running OS X Snow Leopard. The XP system reports: Network path \\atlas\rozen could not be found. and the server does not show up on the XP list of Network Computers. [Bug 274479] Re: ip not being updated and expiring
It does not seem to be a client limitation: the client can't update the host when the IP has not changed, because, apparently, the no-ip server does not allow it. That's at least how I read it. The no-ip free service is limited this way. Silly? maybe. Bug? hardly. It looks and smells deliberate. I suggest you take this up with no-ip support. [Bug 116842] Re: Generic 32 bit kernel should be compiled with 64 GB memory support
I just upgraded my memory to 4GB and am very disappointed that the kernel only recognizes 3GB. With cheap memory and the growing popularity of virtual machines, I think it is important that Ubuntu support the larger memory sizes. I am going to try the server version, but if it will not support restricted modules as suggested above, then I will not be able to use the nvidia driver and without that my generic kernel does not support ¨suspend to RAM¨. This is a very unsettling situation.
