[Bug 594538] Re: moonlight firefox plugin does not work
lino: Thank you for reporting this bug. Because you are using a pre-release, you should bring this to the attention of the upstream developers (Novell) at: https://bugzilla.novell.com/index.cgi As well, I have bugs for the Ubuntu Maverick version of moonlight- plugin-mozilla at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/moon/+bug/636231 and upstream: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638737 As well, due to the pre-release status of your package, I am marking it as opinion because it's not quite invalid, but out of the scope of Ubuntu developers because the package version is not one provided by Ubuntu. However, feel free to continue the discussion regarding this! ** Bug watch added: Novell/SUSE Bugzilla #638737 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638737 ** Changed in: moon (Ubuntu) Status: New = Opinion -- moonlight firefox plugin does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/594538 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 631310] Re: [171058.169359] BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 00000008
Updated the kernel, tried: lshw | grep radeon which ran successfully with no kernel crashes. However, when I ran the same under sudo: sudo lshw | grep radeon had a kernel crash, then it locked up my OS requiring a hard reset. 1) uname -a Linux name-laptop 2.6.35-20-generic #29-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 3 14:49:14 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux 2) cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 2.6.35-20.29-generic 2.6.35.4 3) (see attached 2_dmesg_lspci-vnvn.tar.bz2) 4) (see attached 2_dmesg_lspci-vnvn.tar.bz2) ** Attachment added: dmesg.log lspci-vnvn.log https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/631310/+attachment/1554784/+files/2_dmesg_lspci-vnvn.tar.bz2 -- [171058.169359] BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0008 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/631310 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 260761] Re: [ath5k] Atheros wireless chipset AR5212 is incorrectly identified as AR2414
As per Ubuntu question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/116748 I also had a similar confusion regarding what wifi chipset I have based on the results of dmesg vs. lspci/lshw: dmesg | grep Atheros [ 10.131682] ath5k phy0: Atheros AR2425 chip found lspci -nn | grep Atheros 05:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Atheros Communications Inc. I've updated to the newest kernel: uname -a Linux name-laptop 2.6.32-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 28 06:07:29 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux and now the results of: dmesg | grep Atheros are nothing, and: dmesg | ath5k phy0 produces a lot of entries of: ath5k phy0: unsupported jumbo part of a known issue, which can cause performance problems: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ath5k#Eliminating_.60ath5k:_unsupported_jumbo.60_bug Hope that helps! -- [ath5k] Atheros wireless chipset AR5212 is incorrectly identified as AR2414 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/260761 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 620789] Re: kwrite crashes when trying to open a 2.8 GB text file
Myriam: Thank you for addressing this bug. My bugs are not jokes, otherwise I would not post them! ;) As well, the amount of RAM I have and the amount of free space I have on my hard disk drive (both more than the size of the file), is not quite the problem. Jonathan: Thank you for addressing this bug. When I typed ubuntu-bug kwrite this is the bug that was created. So, until this problem has been resolved upstream, it should remain an open bug. Harold: Thank you for addressing this bug. I did review the policy before I changed the status: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status and I was mistaken. Based on this being a confirmed problem upstream, it should have been marked this but policy states don't confirm your own bugs. Due to the status disagreement, I'll place in Opinion, but if you would like to place in Confirm that's great too! ** Changed in: kdebase (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Opinion -- kwrite crashes when trying to open a 2.8 GB text file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620789 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
