Only way is to load the kernel from a bootloader on a floppy/cd.

I think it should be possible to add an entry in grub to load kernel
from the USB drive. But I don't know if USB drives are mounted when
grub is loaded.

I haven't tried it myself. Hence can not help much.

I think nothing can be done if your BIOS does not support. May be I am wrong.
