In the Live ubuntu CD has two options viz. (1)try ubuntu and (2)install ubuntu. In this context. it would nice to add another option as (3) "Grub-Rescue" or "Restore/recover ubuntu". This will help newbie/users to restore the damaged grub or recover the damaged ubuntu. This feature is existed in xandros - more over when clicked on any partition page of ntfs/fat32 we can view complete list of files existed - this will prevent loss of data, if any.
