[ubuntu-in] can not connect to Mobile Broadband
Hi Friends, Does Anyone having problem in connecting BSNL EVDO (USB modem) broadband to Ubuntu 9.10. For me it is not working. I am really disappointed because with out internet I can Install my favorite applications from repository. 9.04 it was working fine. Now I am thinking to switch back to 9.04. Does any one have any solution this problem ? -- Dream is not what you see in sleep is the thing which does not let you sleep -- ubuntu-in mailing list ubuntu-in@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in

Thanks for your response Try installing gnome-ppp (which you have to run with gksudo). Yes, you will need internet to install it. But In Ubuntu 9.04 I could configure mobile broadband connection through network manager. When I searched in lunchpad.net I saw some similar bugs reported. Any way I will try gnome-ppp . -- Dream is not what you see in sleep is the thing which does not let you sleep -- ubuntu-in mailing list ubuntu-in@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in

Am using the bsnl evdo - AC8700 - on 9.10 - no problems at all it got picked up by network manager , the only thing i had to change was the user name and password. Seemingly at my location the default user name and password for *all* evdo's is 165 did you upgrade from 9.0 4 ?? ram -- ubuntu-in mailing list ubuntu-in@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in
