You can modify fstab with noauto,nouser options so the xp partitions are not mounted automatically during boot time and users cannot mount it. You can confirm it by visiting the link below and mark the bug as affecting you (Click on the link that says Does this bug affect you? and then Yes it affects me). However, first read through the description of the bug and check if it is the same problem as you are facing. As of now, I don't think anyone has come up with a solution or work-around. But if many people report the same problem, it might be taken up on urgent basis.
