I am happy to inform to all our Tamil Ubuntu community members, that we did a workshop <http://amachu.net/blog/?p=140> for the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka on last year, This year we are conducting mini training session for the IT staffs as well Students to introduce FOSS. In that series we have planed to conducts another big training workshop for the Tamil Medium School's as well other instution in the Kalmunai coastal Districts area, it will be planed tentatively on coming 19.07.2008 and 20.07.2008 as two days training program. In this workshop we are focusing on two candidates from each school/organization; minimum one person should be the IT staff of that school and another participants may be allowed in the school student's / organization's team leader or another staff(Almost 200 Participants will be expected). We are expecting some volunteer staffs from the our community members who have the interests to help to the lecture session in those days. Another one day training requested by the Hanifa College Kalmunai, for their students, Therefore we have planed to conducts for around 35 students from there on the coming 21 of the June 2008. Further, we need helps from any ways to promote the FOSS in our Tamil medium peoples with you all valuable assistances. Thank you. -- S.L.
