Derek,

I am currently planning and creating content for an upcoming 'Switching From
Windows' guide for the Kubuntu operating system. This list is great and very
helpful. Thanks so much for posting it!!

Nice :-)

It is almost done, but what happened with the milestone? Do you think that I
should make a spec for each one? anyway I am extremely happy with the way
thing are going. Did you take a look at the post about the magazine name we
are getting plenty of suggestions you probably want to make your suggestion

[ubuntu-marketing] to do

2006-07-19 Thread sara vasquez
ok please bear with me as I am learning as I go and I am thinking out loud. I
am thinking if my to do list is the best way to approach this. I feel really
weird handing out jobs and not being complete sure that I am taking full
advantage of your help, so if you think that there is a better way to carry
on please let me know. As you can see from my previous e-mail you can see
that I am having second thoughts concerning the coherence of the assignments.

John,

should make a spec for each one? anyway I am extremely happy with the way
thing are going. Did you take a look at the post about the magazine name we
are getting plenty of suggestions you probably want to make your suggestion

trying to give someting to do to everyone that has offered and I am trying to
give them something according to what they asked, if you have any ideas as to
what else needs to be done let me know. I know you did not offere, but about
a week ago you offered to help so I figure with you membership in the art

you can probably identify what we would need. Beth actually offered to help

feel that I need to keep volunteers busy so they don't loose the desire to
help. I hope that once things settle we can have a better system that is the
reason I want to work on the milestones. Ok, is your head spinning yet?:)
enough of my random thinking.

PS I changed the spec to your name, it was weird because when I typed Jbaer
that is what I got.

[ubuntu-marketing] Revsision to the Project Charter

2006-07-19 Thread John Baer
Sara, Magazine Team, and Marketing Members,

I corrected the magazine Charter per the notes/comments that were made
and I believe it is close to final.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMagazineProjectCharter

The major changes are at the end where I removed the things that seemed
out of place with an open source endeavor. The new section is called
"Execution" and it contains the links to the relevant launchpad specs.

Sara I see you assigned it to "Jonathan108"? Shouldn't this be me
(jBaer)?

Comments and suggestions are always welcomed.

Thanks,

John

Hey all,

I am sorry for the late reply, but i was not available yesterday. I am
gratefull for all the offering for help. I am going to take you all up on
your word and I have come up with a doc with thing in progress.
Rich, could you please post this on the wiki in a diff page as a to-do list.

Please let me know if you are still available to work on this or if there is
anyone else that i have not list that is willing to help, we really need

After this is completed we would be really close to our producing a magazine
