Hi Christina
Is there any way you can attend this? I would really really like to see
some more community marketing being utilized. Please come to the meetings.

Re: [ubuntu-marketing] Using Ubuntu in an animated studio

2006-12-14 Thread Eldo Varghese
Hi guys
I know everyone is excited about this, but please keep in mind that
nothing about this email is final, so I am asking everyone to please be
a bit discrete about this. We don't want to spread around rumors about
this and then have this fall through because of the rumors which does
happen. So please guys don't talk much about this except for when
absolutely necessary, at least until canonical says its ok to do so.

Re: [ubuntu-marketing] Not using gobby (UWN)

2006-12-11 Thread Eldo Varghese
Hi t u
Actually with gobby it saves the the information of who did the edits,
and as long as the documented is still in the gobby server you can
access it and find out who wrote what. Granted it uses whatever name
they gave to the gobby server, but it does also keep their ip etc. in
the logs. So we can tell who wrote what, when and from where in gobby.

[ubuntu-marketing] PressTeam

2006-09-26 Thread Eldo Varghese
Hi all
One of the things I am working on is the EPK [0] (Electronic Press Kit).
While working on it I noticed that the PressTeam page [1] is filed
under / [2] not under /MarketingTeam [3] I would like to change this. So
if no one has any objections I will move /PressTeam to
/MarketingTeam/PressTeam.

Re: [ubuntu-marketing] Accounting/Bookkeeping software (was Re: Ubuntu software packages)

2006-09-25 Thread Eldo Varghese
Actually the reason Quasar isn't included in the repositories is simply
because no one has packaged it. Quasar is released under the GPL [0] so
there would be no problem with including it in the repositories. CCing
the motu.
