Cone is Ubuntu/Debian packaged software, so I would suggest that you
use a more appropriate search tool :) A quick

   apt-cache show cone

reveals:

   Maintainer: Ubuntu MOTU Developers
   Original-Maintainer: Varun Hiremath

The latter of these is the Debian maintainer of the package.

For more detail on who is working on cone, you could download the source
package (apt-get source cone) and then read the debian/copyright and
debian/changelog files. According to cone's debian/copyright:

Upstream Author: Sam Varshavchik

and lastly the AUTHORS file included in the source tree says:

   Cone is written by:

   Sam Varshavchik
   Double Precision, Inc.
   402 Main Street
   Suite 100-241
   Metuchen, NJ 08840

Welcome new MOTUs: Marc Deslauriers, Michael Terry, Fabrice Coutadeur

2009-09-24 Thread Daniel Holbach
Hello everybody,

we'd like to announce that three new MOTUs just joined the team. All of
them contributed a lot to Ubuntu and we're very very happy to have them.

Marc Deslauriers works in the Ubuntu Security team and has done a lot of
amazing work in a short time. Keep it up!

Fabrice Coutadeur has been working on lots and lots of packages already
and helped to clear up lots of obscure build failures, also is he
interested in video editing.

Michael Terry has done great work in Canonical's OEM team but also in
getting rsyslog ready for Karmic and doing lots of merges. His main
objective is getting deja-dup into main.

Please give them a round of applause and a warm welcome to the team!

Have a great day,
 Daniel

Re: libg2c0-dev

2009-09-24 Thread Caroline Ford
I think this is really a support question as I think you are saying
you get an error message referring to the missing file.

Support questions are better on other lists such as ubuntu-users.

If you want to install that file however you need to open a terminal
and type:

Sudo apt-get install libg2c0-dev

Who are the creators of the program cone, so that I may forward them
questions on SMTP setup?

Internet search resulted in nil for who the developers are.
