The hddtemp package was removed from Debian prior to the Ubuntu 22.04
release for the reasons given at https://bugs.debian.org/1002484. Unless
there are specific reasons to the contrary, Ubuntu follows Debian on package
removals.
There are no plans to reintroduce this package in 22.04 or any later release
as it is considered obsolete.
