Or just use sbuild, which can also use copy-on-write filesystems. sbuild + overlayfs/aufs is very similar to cowbuilder. sbuild is what the buildds use. It's less customisable than pbuilder (if you have lots of fancy hooks, that you like) but has a significantly better out-of-the-box configuration. And gives way nicer error messages, if you are missing build-dependencies. mk-sbuild in ubuntu-dev-tools knows how to set it up. The use of cowbuilder-dist instead of pbuilder-dist
Hi everybody, According to the man page of pbuilder-dist, the use of cowbuilder-dist avoid the creation of the base.tgz, which means pbuilder don't have to decompress and compress the chroot environment every time it's invoked, which will save you a lot of precious time, I think everyone using pbuilder-dist now should switch to cowbuilder-dist (unless you don't have enough free space on your disk) please tell me what you think. Thanks in advance. -- *My Best Regards,* * Oussama* * * -- Ubuntu-motu mailing list Ubuntu-motu@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-motu
