FWIW, I read it this way too and was surprised when the updates for
0.25-fixes stopped coming through. I am stuck on 0.25 until I have
time to upgrade/reinstall my server with 12.04. Probably about
time I
did this, although I don't think there have been any updates to 0.25
recently that affect me, but I can see this being more of an
issue if
MythTV releases are going to be more frequent. So far, I've found
sticking one release behind current is most stable...

hmm. I can see how one would read it that way, although we've never
discussed it internally we've always said current + trunk (and admittedly,
that page only really talks about which distros we're building for, not
what versions of mythtv we build for).

Re: [ubuntu-mythtv] .25 and .26 fixes auto building broken?

2012-11-14 Thread Thomas Mashos
It was this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1071562 (see
also https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/214134)

Basically the builds failed because the PPA was full. The bug was that old
builds weren't being cleaned up. The bug is fixed, but the aftermath (i'm
assuming they need to manually go clean up the ppa's) still needs sorted.
They have increased our PPA size, so we should be able to build again
(which should happen in a few hours).

If it was as simple as a HOWTO, I'd do it. As I have said before, it's
non-trivial to get have the builds add another version to check and build
for. This is because we don't set what versions to build, but rather do a
calculation to figure out what versions we should build for what releases.
I'd welcome any patches though if someone wants to go though and figure out
what needs to be done.

Re: [ubuntu-mythtv] .25 and .26 fixes auto building broken?

2012-11-14 Thread Thomas Mashos
Only the current -fixes (ie. 0.26) and master (ie. 0.27) repos get built.
Versions prior to the current version (eg. 0.25), do not get built. I'm not
against building for those previous releases, but changing the build
scripts to allow that is non-trivial.

I thought the -fixes would be built if there were changes backported.

Are you saying that 0.26 is currently the only -fixes repository that

0.25 isn't building because it isn't the current version (we don't build

[ubuntu-mythtv] .25 and .26 fixes auto building broken?

2012-11-13 Thread Chuck Peters
https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/branches shows some recent updates, but
the PPA doesn't appear to be auto building them.  If I am
reading http://smithers.mythbuntu.org/~autobuild/weekly_mythtv.txt
correctly it looks to be building the source packages, but not the
binary packages.
