Hello Николай,

Look for the thread about the 'Pascal compiler'. There is all the
information you need about setting up something to compile directly in
the phone.

[Ubuntu-phone] bluez on ubuntu phone

2016-03-11 Thread Николай Шатохин
Hello.

I'm trying to run few bluez examples on my ubuntu phone from here:
http://people.csail.mit.edu/albert/bluez-intro/x502.html
But Ubuntu SDK can't compile it because can't found bluez headers (and I
suppose lib too). So, how to get it worked?

Best regards,
Nick

[Ubuntu-phone] owncloud users

2016-03-11 Thread Wayne Ward
Just a quick warning
Probably not the right place to be discussing owncloud
but know users on here are using it for contact and calendar sync
i noticed tonight all my contacts doubling up and being odd
with thunderbird 38.6.0 and sogo 31.0.2 and owncloud 8.2.2.
and owncloudcmd 1.8.1 on ubuntu touch

after messing around for a few hours realised its the thunderbird sync
doubling and messing the contacts

i installed evolution mail and added the contact list from owncloud to
evolution and get no corruption

just a warning.. it could be my setup but if you do evolution works and
adds the contacts and calendars and task lists ive tried memo but dont
know were they go yet!

Hope this helps anybosy running to problems and sorry to post on this
list, but genuine reasons

Wayne

[Ubuntu-phone] Folders created when connecting a pen drive

2016-03-11 Thread Marcos Alonso
Hi guys.

I have noticed that when I connect a pen drive using an OTG cable, the pen
drive becomes accesible but also some folders are created (i.e. Music,
Movies, Documents, etc).

I understand that such a folders on the micro-usb, which expectedly is not
normally removed, makes sense for normal storage of the applications.

But I do not understand why these are created every time a pen drive is
connected!

Is there any way to avoid such a behaviour?

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

No. A '#' in front of a command(!) means: to be executed as 'root',
while a '$' sign in front of a command: means to be executed as normal
user, i.e. 'phablet' in our case;

[Ubuntu-phone] Community team weeks 9-10 update

2016-03-11 Thread David Planella
Hi all,

Here's what the Canonical Community team with the help from others have
been up to in the last two weeks.

## Week 9+10

General
- Patch pilot shift [1].
- Worked with Canonical IS to unblock the wiki and docs team edit access
- Discovered hardware problem with Fairphone port, working on replacements
- Talked with various members of the Chinese LoCo team about the team
organisation.
- Post Scopes Showdown coordination. Judging has started.

Developer site
- Continued discussions with Didier Roche on how to make a snappy developer
hero tour happen. Implement necessary changes [2] for a hero tour demo:
allow to specify a template during the import, allow to specify if the
imported articles are advertised in the navigation. Test import and hero
tour demo with David Callé and Didier.
- Finalization of the Hero tour template
- Fixes for the markdown importer, to land after next deployment: make sure
rewrite URLs actually exist and make sense (don’t include “None” in parts
of the URL).
- Unblocked deployments on the devportal staging server.
- Wrote and tested migration notes for our next big deployment.

Snappy
- Largely updated Snappy/Snapcraft docs on developer.u.c to 16.04.
- Created and announced [4] a survey for the Snappy 16.04 experience.

Core Apps
- New Telegram uploaded to the store, fixing a reconnection issue and
adding autocomplete and image preview capability. Also with support for
quoted-replying to messages and sending stickers
- New Clock uploaded to store, featuring UI refresh
- New DocViewer uploaded to the store, featuring an updated LibreOfficeKit
upstream build and a couple of minor bug fixes
- Performance improvements landed in Calendar trunk, more to come, and will
land in store soon.
- Work began on migrating Dekko from the existing Trojita backend to QMF
(Qt Messaging Framework) with the goal of landing this before OTA-10
- Preparations began for landing Dekko, UNav and possibly Calendar in the
default phone image for OTA-10
- On-going work to tweak the QA/CI workflow for the core applications. In
short, we’re cleaning up our testsuites, removing hard to maintain tests,
and moving acceptance test runs (autopilot) to after merges have landed.

Cheers,
David.

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] Pascal compiler

2016-03-11 Thread Cesar Herrera
Hellow Matthias:
As I received the aswer from Alan Pope first I read the link:
http://askubuntu.com/a/623311/612
I think it's nearly the same.
I've tried to install mutt:
apt-get install mutt
The terminal said:
Leyendo lista de paquetes... Hecho
Creando arbol de dependencias
Leyendo la informacion de estado... Hecho
E: No se ha podido localizar el paquete mutt

Talking about another thing, in your book it says:
# echo "nameserver 127.0.1.1" > /etc/resolv.conf

As there is the # symbol I think this is a comment, not a command.
Reading the file /etc/resolv.conf it says not to modify manually.
If the problem continues I'll erase the dir vivid-chroot and I'll try with your
book
I'll say you.
Thanks,
Cesar

[Ubuntu-phone] Bluetooth bug

2016-03-11 Thread Wayne Ward

Hi is this a known bug?
Play music, notification comes and its fine musuc plays notifucation makes
noise
Play music connected to bluetooth, notification comes music stops playing,
doesn't seem to crash music player can select play to start music.

Another
Play music through phone speaker on phone, turn some bluetooth devices on
have to restart music to play through bluetooth - I've tested in house this
morning and it was fine on juice bar but its in car that it usually does
this. Ill test again this morning on way to work.

Last bug
I have my web app unfreezed so can play music from emby server. This works
fine can through phone speaker when screen is closed plays for as long as
you like. If you select bluetooth it needs you to press the button to open
screen on the time you set for screen lock time or it tries to freeze the
bluetooth, so just keeps jittering

Bluetooth bugs mainly I guess :)
