Re: [Ubuntu-phone] Aquaris M10 How to update

2016-04-25 Thread Andrea
Today, after listening to youtube music for a couple of hours while doing
chores in the kitchen, the update got through.
I guess the problem was in the downloading process, maybe keeping the
Tablet on helped. Probably the tablet switches wifi off at some point
(internet is very slow here).

Thanks
Andy

For the FHD device:

http://people.canonical.com/~abeato/avila/recovery-frieza.img

For the HD device:

http://people.canonical.com/~abeato/avila/cooler/recovery-cooler.img

Note that you do not necessarily need to do a bootstrap unless things have
gone terribly wrong. You do not even need to have a recovery image if the
tablet is in developer mode. In that case, with UT running you just need to
do:

ubuntu-device-flash touch --channel
ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/bq-aquaris-pd.en

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] Aquaris M10 How to update

2016-04-23 Thread Andrea
By typing

  $ sudo ubuntu-device-flash touch
--channel=ubuntu-touch/rc/bq-aquaris-pd.en \
--recovery-image recovery-frieza-.img --bootstrap

I get
   2016/04/23 21:23:32 Expecting the device to be in the bootloader...
waiting

and the terminal hangs on forever.

I feel like my Lubuntu PC does not find the tablet. On connecting my tablet
nothing happens, except that my PC asks if I want to see the content of the
added folders. On typing lsusb for the M10 I get this line:

Bus 001 Device 021: ID 2a47:2008

(I have added a file ~/.android/adb_usb.ini with this line 0x2a47 as
suggested in other forums).

If I activate the developer mode, the Table gets disconnected from the PC.

Thanks,
Andy

Andrea,

My question was directed to Canonical.

You should no run this:

a) without having downloaded the exact file recovery-frieza-.img
b) an USB connection to the M10
c) having put the M10 into bootloader state

And, it will wipe all the data in your M10.

Please wait until someone from Canonical gives us the name and URL for
the recovery image.

matthias

The question goes to Canonical:

What would be the URL and name for download a recovery image for doing:

  $ sudo ubuntu-device-flash touch
--channel=ubuntu-touch/rc/bq-aquaris-pd.en \
--recovery-image recovery-frieza-.img --bootstrap

This would be the ultima ratio for the problem, I think.

Thanks

You can try using the system-image-cli command:

To upgrade
$ sudo system-image-cli -v

Or to flash a full image (it won't wipe your device)
$ sudo system-image-cli --build 0

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] Aquaris M10 How to update

2016-04-22 Thread Pat McGowan
Some folks who had installed packages after making the system writable had
issues with the system partition filling up. Check
https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1568889
starting with comment #11.

/android/cache/recovery/last_log should tell us more.
also "df | grep system"
