Still working on it. But here you can see an example of a facebook
webapp: you just need an icon, a .desktop file and a snapcraft.yaml file:

I could test it only under unity7. If anyone is able to run it in unity8

I hope it is soon. Just realized that pretty much all web apps are affected 
and rendered useless by this bug. Not good when users of the phone 
primarily use web apps! 

Can't this just be fixed in a smaller browser only update, rather than wait 
for a full OTA?

The switch to snaps is a top priority, but I’m not aware of a firm ETA.

Ok, further troubleshooting - it's not anything to do with my internet 
connection. My desktop computer tethered to my phone works fine - issue 
is with both my tablet and Mx5pro running stable. Any idea how to fix 
this? Both webapps and browser are affected.
