This should generally not be an issue any more, as we use the timestamp
from the server when signing requests now. Any account being deleted
should not be caused by an incorrect time or timezone being set.

This linked bug is not the issue reported in this e-mail thread. It is
a similar issue caused by a very specific condition, which can be
easily replicated. I've moved that bug to a more appropriate place, and
hopefully it will get fixed, but it is a server side problem, exposed
by an extremely rare situation.

That said, the work we are doing for OTA12 won't solve the core issues
with the account being invalidated on the client. It should make the
situation a little less abrasive, but even with it in place, the
account would still be getting invalidated, and Paul here would still
have to log in every time, until we an determine what is causing that
specific behavior to occur, and resolve it.

It cannot. And if it could, it wouldn't prevent the account from being
invalidated in certain situations, which would require you to log in
again.

We would need to see what is causing your exact situation, to fix it.
Please file a bug report[1] and attach the contents of the file
/home/phablet/.cache/upstart/scope-registry.log immediately after
having recreated the issue again on your device.

Thanks.

You can't really "force" an update. There has to be one available
on the channel your system images are supplied from, or there's
nothing to update to.

Your device will inform you when there's an update available. Then
you start System Settings, choose Update, and then Ubuntu updates
are listed if available. They phase in over a 24-hour period for
retail devices.

What you see is exactly the account creation dialog. :-)

Unfortunately, you are also seeing another bug, where the Ubuntu One
account gets deleted when some error occurs. Having the account creation
happen in the System Settings won't help you: the account will get
removed anyway, regardless of how it was created.

With the next update, the Ubuntu One account is getting back in the list.
However, you don't need to wait for that: the Ubuntu One account
creation is automatically started when you trigger some action which
require it (such as installing an application from the Ubuntu Store).

  Hi,

So initially the "store" seemed to work and I
could download apps. Then it seemed that I had to enter
 the
  password for every app download.

I thought that deleting and re-entering the Ubuntu One
  account might solve this issue.

But there is no way to enter the "Ubuntu One
Account" It does not exist on the list of accounts
  to create.

I've found the store to be a bit flaky, recently, too. A few
days ago it wouldn't let me search at all, then Monday
though it loaded up all the game items, it only downloaded
about half of the icons, and on later apps that I went into
it didn't download the images at all.  This was on a
strong, reliable wifi network.  Has it had any issues,
or been DDOSed, or something, recently?

 Regards

 Phil

As an addendum to this - I just tried the Ubuntu Store and it's not showing me
any results at all, again. I tried removing and adding my Ubuntu One account
and still nothing (I checked my internet connection, and it's fine) - is anyone
else experiencing this, ATM?
