[Ubuntu-phonedations-bugs] [Bug 1427788] Re: rilmodem: Do not always use sim's app in status-gsm_umts_index

2015-05-27 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package ofono -
1.12.bzr6896+15.10.20150521-0ubuntu1

---
ofono (1.12.bzr6896+15.10.20150521-0ubuntu1) wily; urgency=medium

  [ Ratchanan Srirattanamet ]
  * build, gril, rilmodem, qcommsimmodem, plugins/qcom-msim.c: add
support for LG L90 Dual which uses a Qualcomm dual-SIM modem (LP: #1427788)

  [ Alfonso Sanchez-Beato ]
  * src/gprs.c: support for 'ResetContexts' (LP: #1338758)
Adds a new ConnectionManager 'ResetContexts' DBus method
which deletes all existing gprs contexts and forces
re-provisioning to occur.
  * plugins/ubuntu-apndb.c: ignore 'ipv6' protocol
This change causes APNs with an 'ipv6' protocol value
to instead be provisioned with 'ip', forcing IPv4 to
be used.

  [ Jonas Drange ]
  * doc/connman-api.txt: add metion of 'ia' gprs context type

  [ Tony Espy ]
  * test/set-context-property: add 'Preferred' support (LP: #1454756, #1454751)
This change adds support for the 'Preferred' ( and 'Active')
properties which both need to be DBus variant wrapped booleans.
Also added support for multi-SIM which was lacking from this script.
  * test/list-modems: add privacy support (LP: #1438715)
Obfuscate any properties which can be tied to the end-user
( eg. SubscriberNumbers, SubscriberIdentity, ... ).

Bug description:
  In driver/rilmodem/sim.c, function sim_status_cb, there is a line that
  set variable search_index to status-gsm_utms_index.

  The code then checks if the card_state returned by the GET_SIM_STATUS
  reply is PRESENT and search_index is less than num_apps. If both are
  true, search_index is used to index the returned reply_sim_app array (
  which leads to undefined behavior if the index is negative ) and then
  passed to configure_active_app().

  The code should check search index, and if negative and num_apps =1,
  set search_index to 0.

  ofono version 1.12.bzr6888+15.04.20150224 in Ubuntu 15.04
  Device: LG L90 Dual (I'm doing a port.)

  set-context-property doesn't support 'Preferred' ( boolean ) property

Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products:

  Fix Released

Bug description:
  The test script set-context-property doesn't support the 'Preferred'
  property as it has a boolean value as opposed to the rest of the
  context properties which are all strings.

  The script needs to check for this property and properly convert it
  using dbus.Variant(dbus.Boolean(sys.argv[2])).

  The correct gdbus command to set/clear this property is:

  dbus-send --system --type=method_call --print-reply --dest=org.ofono
  /ril_0/context1 org.ofono.ConnectionContext.SetProperty
  string:Preferred variant:boolean:[true|false]

Title:
  set-context-property not dual-SIM capable, uses 0-based indexing

Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products:
  In Progress
Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  The ofono script 'set-context-property' isn't dual-SIM capable.

  The usage of the script is:

  Usage: set-context-property context name value

  The first issue is that context is an numeric argument and is
  0-based index instead of a 1-based index like most of the other
  scripts.

  The second issue is that it actually attempts to apply the specified
  property/value to each modem it finds. If both modems have a context
  which matches the given index, then the property will be set for each.

  Finally, as there's no way to specify which modem that context
  belongs, so it's all or nothing.

  This is being reported against the version of ofono as of vivid's
  release:

[Ubuntu-phonedations-bugs] [Bug 1444883] Re: Emergency numbers for China (110, 119) are not available in emergency mode

2015-05-27 Thread Alfonso Sanchez-Beato
@Tony

I did the testing with Ubuntu/arale.

Let me reword what I said for libphonenumber: I was trying to say that
libphonenumber is probably not 100% accurate. We can and should use it,
but we should not prevent the user to call numbers that are not there
either.

Finally, right, the specific things that are done for emergency calls (I
think that the only one in ofono is that you cannot offline the modem, I
do not know what other pieces of the system do under emergency
conditions) would not be done in those cases, but that is a minor issue
compared to not being able to call emergency codes.

  Can't setup a customized APN for MMS with carrier Free (France)

Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi,

  MMS doesn't works on mako and krillin (both RTM) with the carrier
  Free (France).

  I try to set up from the GUI :

   * open web browser at carrier support mms APN
   * open system-setting/phone/carrier/access point/APN MMS/Customized APN MMS
button (I have the french language, might not be exactly this in english sorry)
   * swipe back to web-browser to copy/paste information about APN MMS
   * I am lost; using telegram as fallback but all my contact don't have it :/

  Note: this bug is not about the native support of Free as seen on bug
  #1362008 (even if I wish the fix was landed) but about settings
  fields: are they standards ? because my carrier doesn't give me the
  same fields as you can see on the attached image; should we have a
  choice between diferrent form layout? I don't know.

  Also please re-assign the affected package, I don't want to do mistake
