[Ubuntu-phonedations-bugs] [Bug 1569745] Re: Aquaris E5 - Wrong SIM card / phone number information when switched SIM card

2016-05-18 Thread Pat McGowan
Try backing up then removing /var/lib/ofono/*
There may be useful scripts at /usr/share/ofono/scripts

** Also affects: ofono (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image

Title:
Aquaris E5 - Wrong SIM card / phone number information when switched
  SIM card

Status in Canonical System Image:
  Incomplete
Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in ubuntu-system-settings package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Steps:
  1) Use dual sim with two sim cards. See system settings for cellular and the
phone numbers.
  2) Change one of the sim cards. See system settings for cellular and the
phone numbers.

  Actual Result:
  1) Shows two different phone numbers and sim ids (let them be A and B)
  2) Shows two different phone numbers and sim ids (let them be A and B)

  Expected results:
  1) Shows two different phone numbers and sim ids (let them be A and B)
  2) Shows two different phone numbers and sim ids (let them be A and C)

So the bug escalates to the messaging app as well as to the call app.
The phone is now useless with the new sim card and the new phone
number. Could some one tell me how to force a reload of the sim card
  info via console.

And yes, I have ran the latest updates and rebooted several times.

[Ubuntu-phonedations-bugs] [Bug 1577762] Re: LTE does not work after changing operator

2016-05-18 Thread Riccardo Padovani
Actually, it is not an Ubuntu fault - my new operator does not support
the same LTE frequencies my old did, and the one they use in my area
isn't supported by Arale.

In other cities LTE works fine.

Bug description:
It is currently not possible to globally enable/disable the
transmission of the caller ID [1].

My cellular network provider does not transmit my number by default. A
workaround [2] is to prepend *31# before each dialed number.
