sleep_test -d is very basic: one 60-second suspension, no interaction. Passing
a
"-i NUM" argument to check for flakiness in repeated suspensions would be
worthwhile. ("-d" output from a run on Precise below.)

No, but sleep_test didn't do anything that "suspend_test --server" didn't do.

Thanks for pointing this out.
Glen, does "sleep_test -d" perform a full test as "suspend_test
--full" did before?
Is there a specific test available for servers (as "suspend_test
--server" before) ?

As a maintainer of Checkbox (and the person who left the comment...) I
can confirm this is correct. I wasn't aware there was a dependency on
our scripts on the laptop testing wiki pages. Whoever has permission to
should update that page.

suspend/resume test in

2012-02-23 Thread Glen Ditchfield
The Extended Suspend/Resume test snr-002 in
http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Plans/LaptopTesting says to run
/usr/share/checkbox/scripts/suspend_test. A recent comment on bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/848553 says that
suspend_test is deprecated, and recommends
/usr/share/checkbox/scripts/sleep_test.
