make the i386 *buntu version check for UEFI
sanderj@ubuntuforums suggests 'http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop indeed says If you have a PC with the Windows 8 logo or UEFI firmware, choose the 64-bit download.. I would find it useful if the i386 Ubuntu version would check for UEFI, and if so, bail out and advice the 64-bit version. Just like the 64-bit install does when you try to run it on 32-bit' http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2139499p=12621271#post12621271 And I think this is a good idea :-) Best regards Nio alias sudodus -- Ubuntu-quality mailing list Ubuntu-quality@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-quality

You'll notice the Ubuntu download page mentions it: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop But we don't either here: http://lubuntu.net/ Or here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/GetLubuntu I'm guessing we probably should, eh? Lance Yes, that's right. We should also have that warning on the Lubuntu web pages. It can be done long before a bug-fix reaches the iso files on the download web sites. -- Ubuntu-quality mailing list Ubuntu-quality@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-quality

I know some links are pointing to the Wiki Area already but I do strongly believe that our website should be updated the same way our Wiki area is being updated too. I know the Wiki Area is much faster and easier to be updated but we can't forget about the website :D Thank you! -- *Best Regards, amjjawad* *https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad/* Lubuntu One Stop Thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1844755| My Launchpad https://launchpad.net/%7Eamjjawad | My Ubuntu Forum Profilehttp://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=941822 ** -- https://wiki.ubuntu.com/phillw -- Ubuntu-quality mailing list Ubuntu-quality@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-quality
