I would like to participate if I thought I could do anything useful.
Maybe you could point me to a wiki detailing the process, and the skills
I would expect to have and I'll gladly participate if my skills allow.

Well, for me it just coincided with a busy schedule… For the next time
we need to advertise this on Planet Ubuntu, there are some blogs that
pick up event news from there, that way there’ll be more
participation.

I didn't even notice it was happening.

What will make you to participate in an event like this?

Knowing it's happening.

We should have had planned this further in advance to where people
could have planned to participate. The two day or less notice was not
good for people.

As a subscriber to ubuntu-bugcontrol I was informed early in the morning
on Friday, February 6 that the event would happen on Saturday and
Sunday. Not much time to plan, I'd say...

Also, the information was somewhat confusing. A week is usually 7 days,
not 2 days. ;-)

I would like to encourage you to make a new attempt, but then announce
it well in advance of the event.

Personally I worked with Ubuntu in other ways the whole weekend, but I
don't think the reasons for my priorities are of general interest.

Hi Alberto

As a tester:

I spent a day working on ubuntu at the weekend, and had time to help with
this, but I could not. This is because when I look at the bug lists, 99%
cannot be progressed without serious development skills. Instead I worked on
the autopilot tests for rhythmbox.

By serious development skills I mean the ability to pick up crash dumps and
action them. If there were bugs that could be reproduced with a lesser skills
set - I couldn't find them

If there are bug reports that require only high level, or general OS knowledge
to progress - please point me at the list!

Thanks
Adam
