[Bug 790145] Re: kvm husb: ctrl buffer too small

2011-07-05 Thread Martin Pitt
@Chris: Indeed the queuediff output is confusing here. In these special
cases, when a version got removed/superseded from -proposed, Launchpad
will generate a confusing diff (against the removed SRU, not against
what's actually in Ubuntu). Doing a manual debdiff against lucid-updates
looks very reasonable.

[Bug 540747] Re: Apache Web DAV incorrect permissions

2011-07-05 Thread adriankoooo
Hi all,

unfortunatelly it is still wrong in apache2 2.2.14-5ubuntu8.4

My fix to this issue:

I downloaded from

http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/i386/apache2.2-bin/download

2.2.16 deb binary.

Extracted .deb archive:
dpkg -x apache2.2-bin_2.2.16-6+squeeze1_i386.deb tmp/

Then I replaced old files:
sudo cp tmp/mod_dav* /usr/lib/apache2/modules/

restart, and now it is ok. :)

[Bug 776103] Re: package open-vm-dkms 2011.03.28-387002-0ubuntu2 fails to build against 2.6.39 kernels, due to missing linux/smp_lock.h

2011-07-05 Thread Nate Muench
The June release was released a couple of hours ago, with cleanups and bug
fixes. This should be noted in the changelog:
* A few enhancements to Unity: XFCE support, better interaction with the
other (Ubuntu's) Unity and compositing window managers, better X error
handling, and a few bug fixes.

I'm going to push the June release shortly to my Virtual Test PPA (or
build it within the VM using pbuilder, and if built successful, I'll
then push it to the repo). If all goes according to plan (aka builds
and installs successfully), I'll push it to the working Repo, and maybe
refresh the diffs.

[Bug 806231] [NEW] Conflicts with lsh-server

2011-07-05 Thread Richard G. Clegg
Public bug reported:

lsh-server appears to be installed by default on natty. I did not
realise this and installed openssh-server. No conflict of packages was
reported and both packages were installed but with openssh-server in a
poorly configured state unable to get access to port 22. Because I did
not know of the existence of lsh-server it took me a long time to
diagnose the problem.

[Bug 744293] Re: Infinite loop in helper LVM script for DRBD 8 in Lucid

2011-07-05 Thread Andres Rodriguez
Hi Jacob.

Sorry for the delay... apparently the SRU was lost for some reason.

Could you please re-test the package available at my ppa:

https://launchpad.net/~andreserl/+archive/ppa/+packages?field.series_filter=lucid

Once you proceed with the testing I'll proceed to upload it to the SRU
queue for verification.

Cheers!

I think the problem is with OpenSSL (or GCC). I Google pathlen, and the
first result is relating with OpenSSL. All I know is the June release
successfully builds with Natty (in my regular PPA), but fails with
Oneiric.

So as it stands, this weekend, I push create the proposal for the May
version. And unless someone has a fix for this problem, the May version
is what Oneiric will have when released in October.

some thing over wrote apache2 init script

2011-07-05 Thread Tapas Mishra
Hi,
this is one problem with one of our servers I noticed today morning,
we are running a private cloud on Ubuntu server with KVM as hypervisor.

The URL is http://openitup.in

The Dom0 on KVM instance where all the Apache settings are
I noticed

the apache2 file /etc/init.d/apache2 was blank
due to which rest of the internal sites were not accessible.

Also I noticed that there were other files

/etc/init.d/apache2.1
/etc/init.d/apache2.2
/etc/init.d/apache2.3
/etc/init.d/apache2.4

which were different instances of same file but these files were also blank.
Right now I have fixed it by copying the apache2 init script from one
of the internal machines.
So things started working back on track.

How ever on the machines running on LAN where our apps are there was
no such issue.

Let me know what can be the cause for such a thing or what do I need
to investigate.
The problem happened recently.Though I have fixed it I want to know
what could have been a
possible reason for such a thing to happen.
