[Bug 1155784] Re: source build fails with USER: parameter not set
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have reproduced this in Precise. Note that I had to install devscripts to make your reproduction steps work. But I can't reproduce this in Raring. However, I can successfully build php5 in Precise using sbuild (with --resolve-alternatives). Presumably the buildds can build it too. So I'm not sure that this is a bug. It does seem wrong to me that debian/rules says: $(SHELL) debian/setup-mysql.sh $(MYSQL_PORT) $(MYSQL_DATA_DIR) but debian/setup-mysql.sh has a shebang of #!/bin/sh. So what if the user's shell is bash? This is the case in Raring (5.4.9-4ubuntu2) too. Setting Importance to Medium as a workaround (sbuild) is available. I'm still not sure whether this is a valid bug though, since I'm not sure what the expectations are for the buildability of packages outside of buildds. ** Changed in: php5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1155784 Title: source build fails with USER: parameter not set To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1155784/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1135453] Re: open-iscsi +mpio with multipathd init script order errors
This might be self inflicted. First, we have really good multipath documentation now. You're better off following our docs first and then supplementing it with the vendor docs if it doesn't work. Many popular SANs have built-in support. https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/serverguide/dm-multipath-chapter.html HP MSA's are already included in the built-in DB, your config file is likely not needed so lets start by eliminating that as a variable by following these directions. https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/serverguide/multipath-setting-up-dm- multipath.html#multipath-setup-overview plus your path alias, and, # update-initramfs -u -k all To copy the multipath.conf to the ramdisk. Make all these changes, reboot, and before you shutdown again grab: * sudo dmsetup table * sudo udisks --dump * sudo -i; echo 'show config' | multipathd -k and attach to the bug. Thanks. I'm hoping you have a newer MSA and this is just a mp jumbled config. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1135453 Title: open-iscsi +mpio with multipathd init script order errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1135453/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1156721] [NEW] IMAGE_LOGOS does not work for the Debian logo
Public bug reported: I discovered an interesting cosmetical bug. [Bug 1153626] Re: Multiple Interfaces and IPs not detected in AWS VPC
My current thinking is that a udev rule will need to have a RUN hook that updates /etc/network/interfaces or at a minimum runs the appropriate ip commands based on what is discovered in the EC2 metadata service. It seems like updating /etc/network/interfaces would be good since ifup/ifdown rely on its configuration. According to the VPC docs (http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/using- eni.html#detach_eni) it appears that eth0 can *not* be removed from a running instance while eth1 may be removed or added while the machine is running. However, it is unclear if additional VIPs can be added to eth0 while the instance is running. I'm not sure how changes to the available IPs would be detected without polling the meta-data service. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to cloud-init in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1153626 Title: Multiple Interfaces and IPs not detected in AWS VPC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-init/+bug/1153626/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
