Oh sure. I'm pretty sure you've looked more thoroughly than I have. But at least there's 1 error (.sock, .sock.lock) that's common in all the dupes. So I'll not mark this as dupe but let's fix the original issue and then re-investigate this later. We'll discuss this in the standup next week so that everyone's on the same page \o/ Thanks for looking further! :) - u -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam

I am still not sure about this, especially because of the other dpkg errors I mentioned, but unfortunately I don't have time to investigate further, so if you consider it appropriate to mark it as a dupe, that's fine by me. Further doing my triage (w/ Christian) today, I came across 2 more duplicates of the same bug (LP: 1899248): 1. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1921378 2. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1921417 I've marked them as duplicate and maybe it's worth looking at the original bug again (or/and follow up) as it's getting very popular. I'll mention the same during the standup today as well. - u -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
Bug Triage report Friday 26th of March
Hi, Bug triage today had 28 bugs for me to check today. Only 5 needed some triage, the rest was already on the right way. Utkarsh again joined me to train up on triage duty. He will have a mail of his own as we've touched more known mysql cases. But eventually none of the other cases was worth mentioning here in detail. -- Christian Ehrhardt Staff Engineer, Ubuntu Server Canonical Ltd -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam

Thanks Paride, This has a long unfortunate history and without upstream implementing an alternative it comes down to "who do you want to break" :-/ I've added info to the bug, marked it as a duplicate and used that as a chance to re-ping the (new) upstream maintainer. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-tools/+bug/1921116/comments/2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-tools/+bug/1793715/comments/25 > Paride > > -- > ubuntu-server mailing list > ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com > https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server > More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam -- Christian Ehrhardt Staff Engineer, Ubuntu Server Canonical Ltd -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
