Without looking deeper into the bug, this may be a good candidate for Miriam. Tuesday bug triage report
Bugs last updated on 2021-08-16 (Monday) Date range identified as: "Tuesday triage" Found 14 bugs Bugs worth mentioning: https://pad.lv/1937061 - (New)[qemu] - qemu-arm-static crashes segmentation fault when running git clone -> Subscribed Christian to check what is happening, I am not sure if this is a real bug. https://pad.lv/1940079 - (New)[strongswan] - Strongswan in Focal doesn't support TPM 2.0 through the TSS2 interface... -> User wants to add a new configure option in our Focal build to have access to the TSS2 library, this would also require a new build dependency. I do not believe this is something SRU-able. --- Bugs tagged 'server-next' and not touched in 60 days Found 0 bugs --- Bugs in backlog and not touched in 180 days Found 2 bugs https://pad.lv/1505670 - (New)[python2.7] - uncaptured python exception also: - (Confirmed) [squid-deb-proxy] - uncaptured python exception -> There is a patch that according to users fixed the bug for them, one of them even provided a PPA with the fix. Since the importance is set to Low I do not believe we will be working on it soon, so I offered help in case they want to pursue a SRU. Triage repot (2021-09-16, Monday triage)
The weekend bugs brought a couple of "openssh failed to install/restart" bug reports, but the logs showed issues in sshd_config. The problems were probably already there, waiting for a service restart to happen, which was triggered by the recent SRUs. I'm confident we don't have a regression. Worth mentioning is: LP: #1939678 - (New)[apache2]- Apache2 Balancer Manager not working after dist-upgrade to focal behind a Proxy which is likely a duplicate of LP: #1842701, but AIUI LP: #1842701 should be fixed in >= Groovy (fixed upstream), but the user is still seeing the issue in Hirsute. The user provided a reproducer, which looks unnecessarily complex to me. I proposed a way simpler one and asked to confirm it does trigger the problem. Working on this will involve double checking what proxy_balancer should do, as I don't exclude this is actually a local configuration issue. Of the other bugs with activity none is worth mentioning here. Friday bug triage
Bugs last updated on 2021-08-12 (Thursday) Date range identified as: "Friday triage" Found 20 bugs Nothing worthwhile reporting, really. Everything seems to be in good hands. However, I'll quickly mention: Bugs in backlog and not touched in 180 days Found 1 bugs LP: #1882527 - (Triaged) [mysql-8.0] - mysql timeoutsec results in killing mysql process A good, quick SRU bug to fix. Asked if Miriam or Paride are interested, otherwhile I'll take care of it. Either way, I've commented there so that it doesn't expire/forgotten, at least. - u -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
