12.04 LTS 32 bit: should i insatll GRUB on a VM (ubuntu server as VM on win XP)

pl. advice.

i got confused when, while installing ubuntu server as a VM in VMPlayer. the 
installation asked me a question to install GRUB on MBR of the disk??? i did 
not want take chances with my XP host OS, so selected NO - now that VM image is 
not booting up.

pl help/advice.

answer: yes  :)

it was offering to install grub on mbr of the virtual disk, so was
safe (and necessary) to say yes.  You can either boot into rescue
mode from cd and run grub-install, or (easier) just re-do the install
and answer yes.
