[Bug 239704] Re: slapd fails to upgrade if included schema files are no longer available
I think that missing schema files should lead to a failed upgrade. If we'd allow the upgrade to succeed, the resulting configuration would be wrong and slapd won't start anyway. Commenting out the missing schema is not a good option as it would break the client applications (and slapd won't probably start as it doesn't know about some parts of the ldap objects stored in the database). However this use case should be be improved when we're migrating to the cn=config backend. ** Changed in: openldap2.3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist Status: New => Incomplete -- slapd fails to upgrade if included schema files are no longer available https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239704 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openldap2.3 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 240519] [NEW] sybase_* functions missing in php5-sybase for hardy
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: php5 When trying to run php programs on hardy server that use the sybase_* php functions, I get the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function sybase_connect() The sybase_* functions should be installed via the php5-sybase package, but instead only the mssql_* functions are installed. I realize that they are merely aliases to one another, but according to the php5 documentation, the mssql functions are aliases to the sybase ones. [Bug 240387] [NEW] php5-ldap TLS (start_tls) quirks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: php5-ldap After switching from gentoo i386 to ubuntu hardy 8.04 x64, using the same configuration (of course adapted to the new host system), any PHP script that wants to issue a startTLS behaves unpredicatebly. Best example is phpLDAPadmin which at times lets you login and edit a record without a problem and on updating the tree fails with the usual PHP error message about not being able to start TLS. At other times, it does not even let me login. All other services, be it authnz-ldap, libnss-ldap, libpam-ldap work without a flaw. I come to suspect the the php5-ldap module itself has a bug (maybe only x64 related). I am unable to get good debug output out of the module so if you have some advice on how to receive this, I would be happy to post it along with this report. ** Affects: php5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- php5-ldap TLS (start_tls) quirks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240387 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 240353] [NEW] Can not add user/macine accounts to Samba PDC if the "ldap idmap alloc" backend is used
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: winbind The winbind Package (3.0.28a) that Ubuntu 8.04 uses has a Bug, so the LDAP idmap alloc Backend (ldapsam:trusted = yes, ldapsam:editposix = yes) is unusable. I configured Samba as it is described on http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Ldapsam_Editposix With 3.0.28a you get the Error "NT_STATUS_INVALID_PRIMARY_GROUP" if you try to add an User or Machine Account. In the winbind log files you can see, that winbind fails to get the UID or GID of a SID. With the same configuration and Samba 3.0.30 all is fine (I tried it with the Debian Lenny Packages). Karolin Seeger from Sernet GmbH confirmed that this was a Bug in 3.0.28a. I think that should be fixed in Ubuntu 8.04 especially that this Version is a LTS-Version. With this Bug it is only possible to set up a PDC when the old smbldap-tools method is used. ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Can not add user/macine accounts to Samba PDC if the "ldap idmap alloc" backend is used https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240353 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
