[Bug 252784] [NEW] ppolicy+smbk5pwd password modify

2008-07-28 Thread Greek Ordoño
Public bug reported:

I rebuild the openldap source to include smbk5pwd+ppolicy but when I try
to update password information it will informed users that you need to
bind to server. The patch is already included in 2.4.11 I wish this will
be included as well to ubuntu.

This has been fixed in the development tree of Ubuntu Intrepid for
further testing. It's not available for Hardy (or anything prior to
Intrepid, rather) at this time.

If you would like to test this in Ubuntu Intrepid, follow the

  * scripts/functions:
- add_mountroot_fail_hook(): set up symlinks to hooks in tmp directory

[Bug 252686] [NEW] Reload action on init script kills daemon

2008-07-28 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

$ pidof nagios2

$ sudo /etc/init.d/nagios2 reload
 * Reloading nagios2 monitoring daemon configuration files nagios2   [ OK ]
$ pidof nagios2
$ tail /var/log/nagios2/nagios.log

[1217275378] Caught SIGTERM, shutting down...
[1217275378] Successfully shutdown... (PID=29114)

It looks like the init script is using "killproc ... 1" from /lib/lsb
/init-functions which ends up calling "start-stop-daemon --stop ..."

Manually running "kill -1 $(pidof nagios2)" successfully causes nagios
to reload it's configuration files.

[Bug 240519] Re: sybase_* functions missing in php5-sybase for hardy

2008-07-28 Thread Adam Conrad
The reason sybase_affected_rows didn't get aliased is because this was
renamed in the mssql extension to mssql_rows_affected, so the
s/mssql/sybase/ aliases didn't catch that.

To get old sybase_ct users happy, you need to add an alias like so:

PHP_FALIAS(sybase_affected_rows, mssql_rows_affected,
NULL)

The LC_ALL errors pervaded the whole upgrade configuration changes.

thanks for you help.

2008-07-28 Thread Gustavo A . Díaz
Any news about this Guys? since i am having many spams if i have amavisd-new

I've googled about this and i get nothing.

** Changed in: amavisd-new (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: amavisd-new-milter => amavisd-new

** Description changed:

+ Binary package hint: amavisd-new

  Hi Guys!

  Since a few (3 days? or less..) I have experiencing Mail server
  problems.. and I've notice that since people was telling that they sent
  emails to me.. and those never came. So, I've searched some logs and i
  found this:

  "/etc/amavis/conf.d/05-domain_id": Insecure directory in $ENV{PATH}
  while running with -T switch at /etc/amavis/conf.d/05-domain_id line 7.

  This is when i try to start amavisd-new, and i noticed this since

[Bug 120375] Re: cannot boot raid1 with only one disk

2008-07-28 Thread ceg

I just noticed that with slowly-appearing drives (with md devices on it) the md
device will not exist on the regular run of init-premount/mdadm. But since
introducing another waiting loop into the coldplug driven boot does not make
much sence it'll be preferable to just do degration with failure hooks after a
full rootdelay.

That means that with a degraded md array two wainting loops will have to
time out. (the one in local-top/cryptroot and the rootwait in local)
But this is now an issue of local and local-top/cryptroot.

So the remaining list for package mdadm is down to the array degration
of md devices on which the fstab depends in /etc/init.d/mdadm.

BTW /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/cryptroot contains code to
determine cryptdevices that the rootdevice depends on. Similar approach
may work to find md devices the rootdevice depends on. It may help to
identify the particular arrays to degrade and solve this bug in a way
that does not introduce new problems.

[Bug 252617] [NEW] Installing MySQL-Server in chroot

2008-07-28 Thread André Herrmann
Public bug reported:

This happens, if I preinstall mysql-server on a customized live cd. In
this case the problem occcured by using the reconstructor tool. In UCK
its the same problem.

The Problem is partly discussed on the launchpad site of Ubuntu
Customization Kit

The error occurs at first inside chroot. There mysql-server cannot start
service. With a little fix package it is possible continuing the build
anyway.

If I start my Customized Live DVD the Error you receive here occurs.

If you install the system mysql-server works absolutely properly.

The Problem for me in this case is, that I cannot implement databases on
the live CD.

Hope you can circle the problem. At the Moment I do this part of working
with an installation-script for the webgui on my customized Ubuntu.

Best wishes and good luck in finding the source of the error

Greetings

Andre

[Bug 240519] Re: sybase_* functions missing in php5-sybase for hardy

2008-07-28 Thread Cronje Fourie
To those interested. It appears that all functions have not been
aliased to sybase_* I got sybase to work but found out that
sybase_affected_rows doesn't work. Luckily I have access to a feisty
box so I grabbed the sybase_ct.so from there.

Would be great if these aliases could be added as well :) so that I
don't have to go through the copy paste procedures again.

Upstream rc8 changelog:

2008.06.11 -- Version 2.1_rc8

* Added client authentication and packet filtering capability
  to management interface. In addition, allow OpenVPN plugins
  to take advantage of deferred authentication and packet
  filtering capability.

* Added support for client-side connection profiles.

* Fixed unbounded memory growth bug in environmental variable
  code that could have caused long-running OpenVPN sessions
  with many TLS renegotiations to incrementally
  increase memory usage over time.

* Windows release now packages openssl-0.9.8h.

* Build system changes -- allow building on Windows using
  autoconf/automake scripts (Alon Bar-Lev).

* Changes to Windows build system to make it easier to do
  partial builds, with a reduced set of prerequisites,
  where only a subset of OpenVPN installer
  components are built. See ./domake-win comments.

* Cleanup IP address for persistence interfaces for tap and also
  using ifconfig, gentoo#209055 (Alon Bar-Lev).

* Fall back to old version of extract_x509_field for OpenSSL 0.9.6.

* Clarified tcp-queue-limit man page entry (Matti Linnanvuori).

* Added new OpenVPN icon and installer graphic.

* Minor pkitool changes.

* Added --pkcs11-id-management option, which will cause OpenVPN to
  query the management interface via the new NEED-STR asynchronous
  notification query to get additional PKCS#11 options (Alon Bar-Lev).

* Added NEED-STR management interface asynchronous query and
  "needstr" management interface command to respond to the query
  (Alon Bar-Lev).

* Added Dragonfly BSD support (Francis-Gudin).

* Quote device names before passing to up/down script (Josh Cepek).

* Bracketed struct openvpn_pktinfo with #pragma pack(1) to
  prevent structure padding from causing an incorrect length
  to be returned by sizeof (struct openvpn_pktinfo) on 64-bit
  platforms.

* On systems that support res_init, always call it
  before calling gethostbyname to ensure that
  resolver configuration state is current.

* Added NTLMv2 proxy support (Miroslav Zajic).

* Fixed an issue in extract_x509_field_ssl where the extraction
  would fail on the first field of the subject name, such as
  the common name in: /CN=foo/[EMAIL PROTECTED]

* Made "Linux ip addr del failed" error nonfatal.

* Amplified --client-cert-not-required warning.

* Added #pragma pack to proto.h.
