[Bug 154742] Re: Samba shares cannot contain quotes
Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a folder on a local ext3 filesystem. 2) Share the folder using nautilus. 3) Create a new file in the folder, and insert a quotation mark into its name. 4) Find your shared folder through Places-Network. The displayed filename is incorrect. Basically, the trick is to rename the file on the local system, which allows a wider variety of chars, and view it over SMB. -- Samba shares cannot contain quotes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154742 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Is this still an issue for you? [Bug 154742] Re: Samba shares cannot contain quotes
Excellent, I was able to reproduce the problem with those directions. Naming a folder testshare in my home directory, then making a file named test.txt (with quotes), then sharing the folder and viewing it under smb://hostname/testshare showed the file as _W10J7~L.TXT instead. Since there is enough information, I will mark this bug as Triaged so that a developer can now begin work. [Bug 26949] Re: DHCP requires manual configuration for KT (Korean ISP)
just ran into that problem in a hotel in korea, besides adding the mac address i also found out that udhcpc works too. any reason why the mac address is not send by default during a dhcp but has to be enabled via dhclient.conf? -- DHCP requires manual configuration for KT (Korean ISP) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/26949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to dhcp3 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
