[Bug 286828] Re: Access to samba 3.0.24-3.0.25 shares using CIFS is broken on 8.10
I just installed the new kernel (2.6.27-9-generic x86_64), but this fix doesn't seem to have made it in there yet. nodfs seems to be an unknown mount option for cifs. Any indication as to which update will have this fix? Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba Running Intrepid Ibex Kubuntu 8.10. Window system fluxbox. Samba version 3.2.3, Vmware 6.5.1. 4gb memory. Intel core2 quad. All the latest software is installed. From the moment upgraded to 8.10 had memory problems. Out-of-Memory killers would work every night. Found Samba 3.2.3 constantly jumping in memory usage. Un-installed Samba. Downloaded Samba 3.2.5 from Samba site. Compiled and installed.
