[Bug 304388] Re: Gratuitous file /etc/samba/gdbcommands

2009-01-16 Thread era
I spent a lot of time investigating this, and would have avoided that if
it had been documented. I'd still like to request the addition of a
small snippet to README.Debian but since I'm an Ubuntu user I didn't
want to take this directly upstream. If I submit this upstream, with a
small patch, can I change this to confirmed wishlist?

[Blueprint improved-power-management] Improved Power Management

2009-01-16 Thread Arnaud Quette
Blueprint changed by Arnaud Quette:

Whiteboard changed to:

* Powerman - PDU support (http://powerman.sourceforge.net/):
  - Debian ITP (done)
  - Debian package upload (mostly done, upload underway)
  - Ubuntu sync (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/315637, waiting)

* Network UPS Tools - NUT:
  - DeviceKit-power integration (postponed for 2.4.1)
  - dummy-ups repeater mode (communication link redundancy and forwarding)
(done, trunk)
  - base PDU support (~6 SNMP units) (done, trunk)
  - extended PDU support, through libpowerman (~ 20 units) (done, trunk)
- configuration improvements: provide some library / backend to develop a
config wizard (python and/or debconf). configuration is definitely NUT's
weakest point, apart from the HAL/DK-p backends! (postponed for 2.6 ; work
started on Augeas lens)
  - sub devices (present UPS' outlets as devices, to allow per outlet
subscription and management) (postponed for 2.4.1 or 2.6)
  - virtual devices (composite devices, made of several UPSs (parallel, serial
or sequential redundancy modes) and/or PDUs) (postponed)

[Bug 305393] Re: Please upgrade php5 to new upstream version 5.2.8

2009-01-16 Thread ep
My apologies if this is not the appropriate place to ask, but how can I
upgrade to php 5.2.8 with apt-get if I have 5.2.6 installed? I am new
to the deb package system and am being impacted by a bug in 5.2.6. I
have added Ari's two URL's to my sources.list, but I have been
unsuccessful figuring out the upgrade procedure. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks!
