Hi, I had the same problems when installing Mysql-server-5.1 and had to uncomment the line to skip-bdb. Now to upgrade, I was getting the same errors as people in this thread. The current problem was fixed for me doing the following: sudo apt-get remove --purge mysql-server-5.1 sudo apt-get autoremove sudo rm -rf /etc/mysql sudo apt-get install mysql-server-5.1 At this point Mysql will complain that it can't read /etc/mysql/my.cnf but this is triggered because it no longer installs the configuration file named as my.cnf but as debian.cnf (Would this need be reported as another bug?) I have been using seahorse for ssh-agent since around the time I was running into this bug so I have not seen it since. It was probably gnome-ssh-askpass that had the bug but I don't clearly recall. Are future versions of Ubuntu going to use the new gnome-keyring ssh- agent? I 100% agree with the opinion of John Wards. There has to be an easy and effective way to remove Suhosin from PHP with having to recompile. There should be two methods available: 1. I should be able to remove the php5-suhosin package. 2. I should be able to comment out the second line (;extension=suhosin.so) in /etc/php5/apache2/conf.d/suhosin.ini. [Bug 321689] [NEW] openldap (slapd) installation fails
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: slapd There is a version mismatch for libldap 2.4-2 and slapd (openLDAP) which prevents the latter to install via apt-get. Slapd seems to require libldap 2.4-2 (2.4.9 ubuntu 8.04.1) while 2.4-2 (2.4.9 ubuntu 8.04.2) is installed on the system. I believe I might have found the problem.
