We are past feature freeze so we should concentrate on specific bugfixing rather than version upgrades. 2.1rc11-2.1rc15 is mostly about new features afaict (or fixing regressions introduced by those new features), except the lladdr bug fixed in rc12 which is already included in our version. Very peculiar... I had the same problem, however the above fix did not fix it. [Bug 303458] Re: segfault in pam_smbpass.so
Came across this issue just last night and found the cause to be less than insidious. Seems that after I finished editing smb.conf, the daemon reloaded the new file automagically. This is when the trouble started. As it turns out, my new config had a typo and was specifying a directory that did not exist. I believe this is what was causing samba to go tango-uniform and thus causing pam to segfault. One boot into recovery mode and a restore to the default smb.conf later, and all is well again. I will be editing my smb.conf under a different name until it has passed testparm. I will report back should another fail occur. -- segfault in pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 303458] Re: segfault in pam_smbpass.so
Correction, it wasn't a typo for the directory, it was a typo for the line. Here is the line at issue: path /data/apps Which is missing the '=' operator. And now I'm just muddying the water. Even with my corrected (and testparm approved) smb.conf and samba daemons stopped, I get the pam segfault because of pam_smbpass.so. [Bug 303458] Re: segfault in pam_smbpass.so
Corrected the misspelling of 'tdbsam' on line 6 of the above posted smb.conf. New config is working fine and pam hasn't segfaulted as of yet.
[Bug 306886] Re: AppArmor profile included doesn't allow mysql to bind to socket
confirmed on 9.04 alpha 4 (with updates till today) also mention that I'm running on a 2.6.27-11 kernel, since my Intel graphics card is not well supported. mysqld would run well after removing apparmor -- AppArmor profile included doesn't allow mysql to bind to socket https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-dfsg-5.0 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 333711] [NEW] AppArmor profile for sbin.dhclient3 should handle connman
Public bug reported: Connection manager (connman) runs /sbin/dhclient using some specific actions and stores leases in different locations to NetworkManager. The new sbin.dhclient3 AppArmor profile prevents connman from acquiring an IP address and storing the lease, I include a patch to the profile which addresses that. I'm not sure whether AppArmor configurations can extend one another. If so, it may be better to extend the dhclient profiles (/sbin/dhclient3, /sbin/dhclient-script, /usr/lib/connman/scripts/dhclient-script) in a separate apparmor.d file added by the connman package. For the moment this patch just extends the profile added by the dhcp3-client package. ** Affects: connman (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: dhcp3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- AppArmor profile for sbin.dhclient3 should handle connman https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333711 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to dhcp3 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
