[Bug 375493] Re: tomcat6 needs debug start mode with jpda
Passing arbitrary Java options is supported through setting JAVA_OPTS in /etc/default/tomcat6... So if you set: JAVA_OPTS=-Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=8000,server=y,suspend=n -Djava.awt.headless=true -Xmx128M You should get desired behavior. We could modify the init script so that JPDA_DEBUG becomes an option in /etc/default/tomcat6. Setting this to Wishlist. Please also note that the tomcat6-user package allows to set up private instances which sound more appropriate for development/debugging. ** Changed in: tomcat6 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: tomcat6 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged -- tomcat6 needs debug start mode with jpda https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat6 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 375593] Re: cannot browse samba shares without editing smb.conf
I guess something changed in your network (or DNS settings) in September of 2008, that makes your host resolution fail. Like switching to a smart DNS server like OpenDNS... Could you run the following command on one of your share-containing servers: smbclient -d 4 -N -L //servername and attach the corresponding output ? ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- cannot browse samba shares without editing smb.conf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375593 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 368273] Re: Jaunty 9.04 Blind to XP's Shared Network Printer
I will be unable to report further on the bug as I replaced 32-bit Ubuntu 9.04 with the 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04 on the exact same hardware, in the exact same environment and the bug is NOT present. With 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04 I easily created a networked shared printer resident on a Windows XP machine without incident. In fact 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04 works so well that I don't know why I was previously sticking with 32-bit. The reports in flash incompatibility, etc., have not proven to be true, at least for me. I am quite impressed with 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04. 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04's apparent immunity to this bug is telling in and of itself. -- Jaunty 9.04 Blind to XP's Shared Network Printer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368273 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
