[Bug 332521] Re: [jaunty] no internet connection: dhclient-script cannot be execve'd

2009-05-26 Thread abrahamcovelo
I have solved the problem in eeepc with Jaunty. And I think is the same
problem found with other PCs. Specific permissions per program in
/etc/apparmor.d/sbin.dhclient3 prevent dhcp3 to be execve'd. As a
workaround I move this file out and restarted apparmor (so far I have
info about the syntax of this configuration file to solve the issue
properly):

/etc/init.d/apparmor restart

The problem is fixed now

[Bug 380715] [NEW] samba shares of symlinks are always read-only

2009-05-26 Thread scott
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

Sharing a symlink using samba makes all content pointed to by that
symlink readonly. However, when sharing the folder above that symlink,
and navigating into it, all the content is read/write as it should be.
The content is the same in both cases, it's just that the write
permission is always prohibited if the symlink itself is the root of the
share.

It seems that it tries to resolve an ipv6 address and fails.
IPv6 is disabled on OpenSolaris.
Enabling IPv6 on OpenSolaris doesn't fix the problem.

[Bug 309945] Re: [jaunty, intrepid] Hard system freeze using open-iscsi

2009-05-26 Thread Alvin
Take a look at bug 246175. Having multiple vcpus could be the cause
instead of open-iscsi. If that is the case, please mark this bug as a
duplicate.

[Bug 373619] Re: jaunty openssh-client tries all keys available in ~/.ssh

2009-05-26 Thread Alex Muntada
Yesterday I upgraded my desktop box to jaunty, and now I'm getting this
error when trying to connect to a remote server through ssh with
password authentication:

Received disconnect from {ip address}: 2: Too many authentication failures for
{username}
lost connection

That meaning that I have a lot of different keys in ~/.ssh and openssh client
in jaunty is trying all of them instead of previous defaults (id_rsa, id_dsa
and identity). To get things back to normal I must create a new subdir
~/.ssh/new
and move there all my non-default keys (and updating ~/.ssh/config accordingly).

Please, can anyone confirm that this new behaviour with default keys is
intended? I've been unable to find this change documented anywhere.
