[Bug 502071] Re: FH_DATE_PAST_20XX scores on all mails dated 2010 or later

2010-04-11 Thread Peter Schwenke
Is this really fixed in Karmic? Looking at the source package at
spamassassin-3.2.5/rules/72_active.cf I see

##{ FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
header FH_DATE_PAST_20XX Date =~ /20[1-9][0-9]/ [if-unset: 2006]
describe FH_DATE_PAST_20XX The date is grossly in the future.
##} FH_DATE_PAST_20XX

That is also what is installed on my system

Yeah, that's what it was looking like to me as well.

Hm, yes, I suppose I could try that. I don't see an obvious problem with
it, at least. I'll run that past Sam and see what he thinks about it.

I'm a little concerned by the implications for sites that maintain a
site-wide krb5.conf file that they distribute to all of their systems and
don't have this setting in it because it doesn't apply uniformly to all of
their systems. In that situation, they really need to use PAM
configuration instead, and this transition could easily leave them without
a minimum_uid setting. But I suppose that's what NEWS.Debian is for.

Right -- if you're already distributing a krb5.conf with this setting,
surely the same mechanism could be used to override the PAM configuration
as well.

[Bug 424648] Re: "Error: ssh program unexpectedly exited" when trying to browse files on router

2010-04-11 Thread Alex Goretoy
i get the same error when i try to connect to OpenSSH_5.1p1 from
nautilus, works from command line(bash). Also it used to work in
nautilus but then start giving me this error all of a sudden.

I know if I reboot and try to connect with nautilus again to the same
server this error will not show until it shows again.

i have tried to do killall nautilus and try to reconnect again but still
it gives me this error.

I am using karmic.

Maybe this is something with DBus? just guessing.

If there was more output I could debug more but I dont know where to
look in this case.

[Bug 560686] [NEW] Shouldn't use rmadison

2010-04-11 Thread Loïc Minier
Public bug reported:

Hi

This is to collect my thoughts on dropping the need for rmadison which
seems to be the reason for the devscripts Depends/Recommends.

Currently, vm-builder/VMBuilder/plugins/ubuntu/distro.py uses rmadison
to query the version (particularly the ABI version) of the Xen kernel to
use for the guest. This is used as a default for the --xen-kernel and
--xen-ramdisk filenames in the generated config file. I understand that
the expectation is that the host has the kernels for the guest system
installed.

What's wrong with the current approach?
- devscripts is heavy and pulls in many deps not desirable on a server install
(mostly useful on developers' systems)
- rmadison introduces a runtime dependency on the network and Launchpad / CGIs
in particular; that is, if Launchpad is down, rmadison fails; rmadison fails
multiple times per day against the Debian servers too (albeit vm-builder
doesn't support Debian ATM); it might be desirable to run vm-builder in
environments without access to the public Internet / Launchpad, or during
Launchpad downtimes, and passsing --xen-kernel / --xen-ramdisk is slightly less
handy
- this is not friendly to Ubuntu derivatives or other Debian derivatives not
providing a rmadison service, or for local xen kernels, but these require
porting anyway

*If* vm-builder really needs to query this data, I would recommend
parsing the Packages.gz files of the target (perhaps from
$target/var/lib/apt/*_Packages).

However, I believe it's useful to have the kernel package installed within the
xen guest, to provide the corresponding modules. So I would propose that:
- vm-builder installs linux-image-xen (or linux-image-server, or
linux-image-virtual etc.) in the xen guests
- vm-builder uses the $target/boot/ramdisk and $target/boot/kernel files
(without the $target prefix) for the xen config, unless overriden on the
command-line

Does the proposed approach makes sense?

Thanks,
