Re: [Bug 528720] Re: Keyboard stuck with irqbalance
I had installed Xubuntu 10.04 which had temporarily solved the porblem, however the bug described here then started to occur in Xubuntu 10.04: keyboard freezing with a repeating character and frozen mouse at login; sometimes I'd be able to login but the mouse and keyboard would free. Editing etc/default/irqbalance so that irqbalance was off (set =0) seems to have solved the problem. [Bug 593085] [NEW] No network connection in guest system after restore
Public bug reported: I am using virsh to manage my virtual machines (KVM, bridged networking). [Bug 582376] Re: Samba (nmbd) fails to start at boot
I'm coming from bug #590862 which was marked as a duplicate of this bug. And I had been asked to outline my network configuration. No, there is no error message in nmbd.log at all. The reason for not starting is not a failure in configuration. It always starts properly when I launch it manually with service nmbd start. On that machine I am using just a static ethernet network configuration. I'll attach my /etc/network/interfaces file. As far as I can see the problem is that nmbd is simply not always started at boottime. Interestingly I found it to be running in rare cases. My guess is that there is a timing problem with the net-device-up signal. The major problem might be the lack of proper documentation for the upstart code (and an increasing ignorance of the upstart maintainers). -- Samba (nmbd) fails to start at boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/582376 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
