Re: [Bug 528720] Re: Keyboard stuck with irqbalance

2010-06-12 Thread Andrew Linux
I had installed Xubuntu 10.04 which had temporarily solved the porblem,
however the bug described here then started to occur in Xubuntu 10.04:
keyboard freezing with a repeating character and frozen mouse at login;
sometimes I'd be able to login but the mouse and keyboard would free.
Editing etc/default/irqbalance so that irqbalance was off (set =0) seems to
have solved the problem.

[Bug 593118] [NEW] authorized_keys will not accept no-pty option on a per-key basis

2010-06-12 Thread d7415
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openssh-server

Using Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS, OpenSSH 1:4.7p1-8ubuntu1.2

I have an authorized_keys set up as:

ssh-rsa B3Nza
from="192.168.0.6,192.168.0.10",no-port-forwarding,no-X11-forwarding,no-agent-forwarding,no-pty
 ssh-rsa B3Nza

The first key has a password and the second does not (it's for automated
backup). When I set my authorized_keys to the above, I was unable to get
a PTY using EITHER key.

Bug 161047 and 302252 look loosely related, but didn't seem to match.

Thanks.

[Bug 593085] [NEW] No network connection in guest system after restore

2010-06-12 Thread Stefan Ferstl
Public bug reported:

I am using virsh to manage my virtual machines (KVM, bridged networking). After
upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10 to 10.04 I am not able to save/restore my guest
systems properly anymore. After restoring, the guest systems are up and running
well but they don't have any network connection. Running "ifconfig" on the
guest system shows the same settings as before saving/restoring it. Running
"/etc/init.d/networking restart" on the guest results in a timeout.
After shutting down and rebooting the guest system, everything works fine.
The network configuration as well as the guest configuration on the host system
is exactly the same as before my Ubuntu upgrade.

I have this problem as well and the ec2- tools appear broken in lucid as
well.

Consequently I, and presumably others, can't build specialized images.

[Bug 582376] Re: Samba (nmbd) fails to start at boot

2010-06-12 Thread Hadmut Danisch
I'm coming from bug #590862 which was marked as a duplicate of this bug.
And I had been asked to outline my network configuration.

No, there is no error message in nmbd.log at all. The reason for not
starting is not a failure in configuration. It always starts properly
when I launch it manually with service nmbd start.

On that machine I am using just a static ethernet network configuration.

I'll attach my /etc/network/interfaces file.

As far as I can see the problem is that nmbd is simply not always
started at boottime. Interestingly I found it to be running in rare
cases.

My guess is that there is a timing problem with the net-device-up
signal.

The major problem might be the lack of proper documentation for the
upstart code (and an increasing ignorance of the upstart maintainers).

[Bug 536940] Re: -tmpfs=- option broken in 0.12.2-0ubuntu3

2010-06-12 Thread Данило Шеган
FWIW, MP is up (in case nobody noticed, though LP should have sent an
email about it to appropriate group).
