[Bug 756894] Re: mount.ocfs2: join errors when node with kernel >= 2.6.37 joins with nodes with kernels < 2.6.37

2011-04-13 Thread iMac
I successfully applied the attached patch against the current linux-
image-2.6.38-8-server (.42) ubuntu source. I grabbed it from this post,
and have attached it here separately.

http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-devel/2011-April/007996.html

It seems like an easily reviewed merge to current 2.6.37 as it appears
to simply correct an error in the code where the locking protocol
version is evaluated.

I also confirmed this is pending for next bundle into upstream 2.6.39
with oracle. (i.e not in 2.6.39-rc2 changelog yet)

[Bug 760019] [NEW] A profile's --kopts-post option does not work

2011-04-13 Thread Tom Ellis
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cobbler

This function uses a post snippet
(/var/lib/cobbler/snippets/post_install_kernel_options) in cobbler to
call 'grubby' to add grub options to a systems default grub settings.

However, this is for grub1 and I don't know of a tool for grub2, so by
default this doesn't work, possibly we need to grok /etc/default/grub's
"GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT" using something else... (sed?) instead if
we don't have a native tool for this.

[Bug 760012] [NEW] cobbler-web unnecessarily overrides default DocumentRoot

2011-04-13 Thread Tom Ellis
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cobbler

Whilst trying to add additional files to the same system as cobbler web
is running on, I notice that DocumentRoot is overridden by the
/etc/apache2/conf.d/cobbler_web.conf by the nature of replacing the
virtual host definition.

If I add the DocumentRoot back to be /var/www in
/etc/apache2/conf.d/cobbler_web.conf then I can serve files from the web
server and use cobbler fine too, but we need a cleaner approach.

I'm using the latest cobbler build on Natty.

Packages:
ii cobbler 2.1.0-0ubuntu5 Install
server
ii cobbler-common 2.1.0-0ubuntu5 Cobbler
Install server - common files

Doesn't seem to. Changing the one instance of -Q in
/lib/udev/rules.d/95-kpartx.rules to -q doesn't change the behavior
described in this bug.

[Bug 644489] Re: constantly changes /dev/disk/by-id/{scsi, wwn}-* LUN symlinks with multipathing

2011-04-13 Thread Serge Hallyn
Hi,

sorry, the bulb is slowly, dimly, turning on. You are the one who
submitted bug 644481. Does fixing the rule to use '-q' fix this bug for
you?

[Bug 759940] [NEW] webdav modifies uri and path_info attributes

2011-04-13 Thread Brian Wasserman
Public bug reported:

I was trying to use WSGIAccessScript and WSGIAuthUserScript per the
instructions at http://code.google.com/p/modwsgi/wiki/AccessControlMechanisms
to write custom subversion authentication code. Unfortunately the
env['REQUEST_URI'] value returned did not contain the filenames referenced in
the svn transaction. The mod_wsgi developer patched the current trunk at
http://code.google.com/p/modwsgi/source/detail?r=1782. It'd be nice if this
patch was backported so it can be utilized on a 10.04 system.
Using Ubuntu 10.02.2 LTS. Using libapache2-mod-wsgi version 2.8-2ubuntu1.

Thanks.

[Bug 759885] [NEW] grub-legacy-ec2 does not create /boot/grub on install

2011-04-13 Thread Scott Moser
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cloud-init

recent uec-images builds have been failing on grub-legacy-ec2
installation like:

| Searching for GRUB installation directory ...
| No GRUB directory found. To create a template run 'mkdir /boot/grub' first.
| To install grub, install it manually or try the 'grub-install' command. ###

I need to add /boot/grub to grub-legacy-ec2. it only worked previously
because grub-pc (or grub-common) was getting installed and creating
that dir for it.

[Bug 747090] Re: wrong return address sometimes pushed for INT in kvm (not qemu)

2011-04-13 Thread Andy Whitcroft
@Serge -- I have pulled down the patch (and applied Jan's changes), and
applied the patch to a Natty kernel for testing. If you could just
verify the kernels at the URL for me, I can get the patch out for
review. Kernels are here:

http://people.canonical.com/~apw/lp747090-natty/

Thanks!

[Bug 743858] Re: sshd not appending to /var/log/btmp

2011-04-13 Thread André
The permission check of openssh is relaxed in revision 1.88 of loginrec.c
http://anoncvs.mindrot.org/index.cgi/openssh/loginrec.c
Would be nice to see this as an update in Lucid becaue with permission mode
0660 of /var/log/btmp I see no security concerns.

2011-04-13 Thread Török Edwin
Can you attach your /proc/cpuinfo please?

Also can you attach the file clamscan.log created using these 2 commands:
wget database.clamav.net/bytecode.cvd
clamscan -dbytecode.cvd --debug /dev/null 2>clamscan.log
