[Bug 900620] Re: Possible Bug: php5-fpm does not listen on a socket by default
Not sure if easier (you need to check permissions, etc.), but I have merged the patch into upcomming PHP 5.4. Thomas, you've done everything right, and I appreciate your patience. [Bug 928550] Re: PHP Comparison Issues ... 0 equates to 'D'
Thanks for taking the time to report this issue and help improve Ubuntu. While from a programmer's perspective, it's unexpected behavior; however, it is correct as documented at: http://php.net/manual/en/language.operators.comparison.php What's happening is that when comparing a string to a number, php is converting the string (in this case 'D') to a number. Because 'D' isn't a (base 10) number, it treats it as the number 0. And thus 0 == 0 returns true. Please feel free to report any additional issues you come across. [Bug 925511] Re: lxc init script should fail when it ... failed
@Ritesh, Unfortunately I don't know that that many people would read the README :) It is worth adding though, thanks for the suggestion. In addition, I will add an LXC section to the ubuntu server guide soon, and this should be mentioned there. I'm also marking this (and the equivalent libvirt) bugs as affecting dnsmasq. Perhaps we can do something to its default configuration to be less belligerant. [Bug 913883] Re: [MIR] zookeeper, netty, log4cxx
log4cxx needs either a symbols file or a "-V" argument with no parameter to dh_makeshlibs to tighten reverse dependencies. Since this is a C++ library, I'd recommend the "-V" approach. It also has a test suite that isn't enabled. Adding "dh_auto_test" to it's build target runs it, but it has 3 test failures that should be examined. I'd also like to see a bug subscriber for it, but that's not a blocker. It then discards # requests that it shouldn't reply to. This has the advantage of # working even when interfaces come and go and change address. About the only time you may need this is when # running another nameserver on the same machine. #bind-interfaces So any machine, where dnsmasq is installed, will bind to all the interfaces. This is the _default_ behavior, as installed. libvirt was doing something similar. http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-libvirt/libvirt.git;a=blob;f=debian/README.Debian;h=6248662c56111c4ec4a5b2c0887059ddfb5fdda6;hb=HEAD They bind dnsmasq to the loopback interface. [Bug 925511] Re: lxc init script should fail when it ... failed
@Ritesh, the dnsmasq for the lxc bridge explicitly binds only lxcbr0. So if that fails, then your other dnsmasq has already bound all interfaces. If /etc/init.d/lxc fails to start now, then lxcbr0 never had dhcp before. If you're not using lxcbr0 for your containers, then you can simply set USE_LXC_BRIDGE="false" in /etc/default/lxc. If do want to use lxcbr0, then you should change your other dnsmasq to not bind all interfaces. A third alternative, I suppose, would be that you want to use lxcbr0 but your statically assign addresses to your containers. We could add a USE_LXC_BRIDGE_DNSMASQ variable to /etc/default/lxc to support that use case. If that is what you want, please open a new bug against lxc and I'll add it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925511 Title: lxc init script should fail when it ... failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/925511/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

This affects me too. In a grave way. The package is somewhat unusable with automated installers and/or puppet/cfengine. [Bug 909828] Re: Tomcat needs update to prevent hash function DoS attack
Testing completed in lucid: Installed tomcat6 Installed solr-tomcat Verified that solr was functional on current published packages. Added -proposed and upgraded to version of tomcat6 in -proposed. [Bug 909828] Re: Tomcat needs update to prevent hash function DoS attack
Testing completed in oneiric: Installed tomcat6 Installed jenkins-tomcat Installed solr-tomcat Verified that both jenkins and solr where functional on current published packages. Added -proposed and upgraded to version of tomcat6 in -proposed. Revalidated that both jenkins and solr where still functional - all looked OK to me. solr is quite intensive on use of parameters so felt like a reasonable test case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat6 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/909828 Title: Tomcat needs update to prevent hash function DoS attack To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat6/+bug/909828/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
