People continue to report the problem that named registers 127.0.0.1 with resolvconf even though named is not set up to forward queries. Marking back to triaged. While https://juju.ubuntu.com/Charms states your charm should then be looked at in a timely manner it doesn't state the process that is used to review the charm. There is process there for people to get their charm reviewed, but that is different. This bug is about having something like the ARB or MIR requirements for charm reviewers. The point of the bug is that there is a set of guidelines for reviewers to follow and to make sure that charms are written well and don't introduce security holes. Eg: http://jujucharms.com/charms/oneiric/phpmyadmin/config has a default passphrase and http://jujucharms.com/charms/oneiric/phpmyadmin/hooks/install has 'chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www'. What is the signoff procedure here? Is the default password guaranteed to be changed on install? Are there configuration files in /var/www that should not be chowned to www-data :www-data to prevent abuse? (ie, often config files in webapps are owned by root so if www-data is under attacker control, there is still some protection). Thank you for the reply, James; it clarifies the issue. Using 'apt-get upgrade' applied the package upgrades without causing Apache to shutdown uncleanly, and the libapache2-mod-php5 package was unaffected, so Apache restarted without issue. All is well. Perhaps this is a question is more appropriate for another venue, but is there any means by which to execute 'apt-get dist-upgrade' or 'apt-get upgrade', on the command-line, without updating every package on the system (excepting those that have been kept-back, of course). (I ask because when I reported this issue, I was using Webmin to apply the package upgrades. It seems that the problem is with Webmin's package upgrade implementation, so any insight offered here may be useful to the Webmin developer[s].) It appears that the Ubuntu Update Manager supports this behavior; it enables the user to un-check the boxes next to individual updates. At the same time, those selections do not persist once the Update Manager has been closed (which is the desired behavior). So, how does the Update Manager achieve this? Does it temporarily keep-back the unchecked packages, until the application is closed, and then remove the temporary holds? Or is there some lesser-known argument to 'apt-get' that allows one to specify the packages to be upgraded, explicitly? [Bug 973953] [NEW] euca-describe-instance returns error VolumeNotFound

euca-describe-instances has been working fine up until recently. We now
