[Bug 975321] Re: maas-dhcp ignores input
Hi Erwin, After running dpkg-reconfigure maas-dhcp you need to run maas-import- isos to update all the necessary files. Doing so will *automatically* generate /etc/dnsmasq.conf so you do *not* need to move files anywhere. The reason why it is failing is because you are copying the template file, which is a template and does not contain the correct files. Hope this information helps! [Bug 978356] Re: squid3 gets killed at startup with dnsmasq and no networkmanager
Have the same behaviour on a x86_64 server freshly-upgraded from Oneiric to Precise. On system reboot, squid3 does not start properly - gets killed by HUP signal as recorded in syslog. Logging into the system by ssh and manual starting service squid3 helps to resolve the problem. But having squid3 starting normally on bootup would be very beneficial. I strongly suspect this misbehaviour happens due to incomplete integration of upstart, ifupdown and resolvconf packages functionality. I use system without NetworkManager (it's a server after all), my interfaces are controlled by ifupdown and by ppp scripts. Probably upstart starts ifupdown too early, again as it usually happens when you have resolvsconf in universe instead of main. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to squid3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/978356 Title: squid3 gets killed at startup with dnsmasq and no networkmanager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dnsmasq/+bug/978356/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 989984] Re: Lookup for 101/8 reports Please upgrade this program.
Excerpts from Kasper Dupont's message of Sat Apr 28 08:14:44 UTC 2012: > I'm still a bit new to Ubuntu. I'm more experienced with rpm based > systems. I haven't figured out the exact steps I need to do in order to > build a patched version of an ubuntu package, but if you could point me > at instructions that shows me how to build and install a modified deb > package, I'll have a patch ready for you in "no time". Certainly! http://developer.ubuntu.com/packaging/html/ https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates In this case, I think we'd want to just *backport* the precise upstream version completely, since almost all changes should have been to add new mappings of networks and tlds, or fix major bugs. Please verify that in the upstream changelog before submitting that as a fix though. If that is the case, I think we can waive the usual "no new upstream" rule for stable release updates. [Bug 937040] Re: Duplicate ufw rules installed by dovecot packages
I am seeing this here as well. After seeing the comment by Serge above, I took a look at this. Here is what I did, and I propose that anyone who is experiencing this problem should probably do the same: rm /etc/ufw/applications.d/dovecot-common The reason is that you already have these rules in the dovecot-core file, so you are simply eliminating the old duplicate by doing this. I suspect that in my case this arose because the machine in question was upgraded from a Lucid installation to Precise, so would have had an older package in place from before. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to dovecot in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937040 Title: Duplicate ufw rules installed by dovecot packages To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dovecot/+bug/937040/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
