[Bug 927540] Re: multipath ignores blacklist in multipath.conf

2012-05-06 Thread gdahlman
I think blacklist device maching is expanded as a regex and not as a
glob, thus the * will not provide a match. Can you try the following
change.

Replace:

 device {
vendor "DELL*"
product "PERC*"
}

With:

   device {
   vendor DELL.*
   product PERC.*
   }

Also if you could paste the output from

$ sudo udisks --dump

It would help debug this issue, I am not on the Ubuntu team but I am
trying to track down an issue that may be related to this.

2012-05-06 Thread Steve Langasek
> But how was this inconsistancy possible?
> Any idea, what I did wrong?

I don't think this is due to anything you did wrong; most likely, there
was simply a single-bit memory or disk error that broke the checksum of
your conffile.

> Could I found this solution by myself?

Not easily, and for that I reassign the bug to dpkg rather than just
closing it outright. However, this is a low priority issue since it's
unlikely to affect many people who don't have failing hardware.

[Bug 990742] Re: slapd fails to upgrade: requires libsasl2-2 (>= 2.1.24) installed

2012-05-06 Thread Jacob Smith
I (mostly) figured out how to do-release-upgrade using proposed repo
with some help from the Ubuntu-HA group.

However I believe proposed is missing the second fix needed - the no
change rebuild of openldap?

Still getting errors:

[Bug 995523] [NEW] squid3 is killed by /etc/resolvconf/update-libc.d/squid3 in Precise

2012-05-06 Thread Steffen Sindzinski
Public bug reported:

During boot squid3 is started successfully by upstart and then killed by
/etc/resolvconf/update-libc.d/squid3 but not restarted.

Can be fixed by changing /etc/resolvconf/update-libc.d/squid3 to:

#!/bin/sh

PATH="/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin"

# Make squid aware of changes to resolv.conf
if status squid3 | grep "start/running" > /dev/null; then
restart squid3
#reload squid3
fi

This bug is related to:

[Bug 993259] Re: ypbind does not start on boot

2012-05-06 Thread John Sopko
So the network is taking a really long time to come up using DHCP. I found that
the
entry in /etc/network/interfaces had the iface eth0 inet dhcp entry commented
out
as shown below. If I un-comment the "iface etho inet dhcp" entry things work,
the
network comes up fast and ypbind starts. It appears NetworkManager is
commenting out the line.
and it is taking a long time for it to bring up the interface.

--- /etc/network/interfaces file

# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface

[Bug 995495] [NEW] Upgrade from Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 breaks slapd

2012-05-06 Thread Thomas Schweikle
Public bug reported:

After upgrading from Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 gssapiauth doesn't work any
more with slapd (OpenLDAP):

# ldapsearch
SASL/GSSAPI authentication started
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Other (e.g., implementation specific) error (80)
additional info: SASL(-1): generic failure: GSSAPI Error: Unspecified
GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information ()

While on some other 11.10 system:
# ldapsearch >/dev/null
SASL/GSSAPI authentication started
SASL username: x@XX
SASL SSF: 56
SASL data security layer installed.

Konfiguration files where kept and edited manually afterwards. No really
big changes: mostly additional comments and local configuration missing.

[Bug 995465] [NEW] File /etc/ufw/applications.d/samba is missing

2012-05-06 Thread Giordano
Public bug reported:

I noticed that this file is missing from the samba package (it was present in
the package for oneiric).
The result is that I cannot use the "Samba" app to configure the firewall ports
using ufw.

I tried to search other packages but so far I couldn't find
/etc/ufw/applications.d/samba somewhere else.

Have a nice day :)
