[Bug 1172981] Re: clamav 0.97.8 security update

2013-05-03 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package clamav - 0.97.8+dfsg-1ubuntu1.08.04.1

---
clamav (0.97.8+dfsg-1ubuntu1.08.04.1) hardy-security; urgency=low

  [ Seth Arnold ]
  * SECURITY UPDATE: Updated to 0.97.8 to fix multiple security issues.
- CVE-2013-2020 and CVE-2013-2021

  [ Scott Kitterman ]
  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #1172981). Remaining changes:
- Drop build-dep on electric-fence (in Universe)
- Add apparmor profiles for clamd and freshclam along with maintainer
  script changes
  * Changes to adapt to Hardy:
- Build without llvm support on lpia to fix FTBFS (not a regression as
llvm has never built on hardy lpia)
- Drop -T -W from apparmor_parser calls in clamav-daemon and freshclam
postinsts since it is not supported in Hardy's apparmor
- Drop deny rule in freshclam apparmor profile since deny is not
  supported in Hardy's apparmor
- Drop dh_lintian from debian/rules and adjust version of debhelper
  build-dep
- Drop build-dep and libclamav-dev depends on non-existent libtommath-dev
- Changed Section to 'utils' for clamav-dbg package
- Ignore test suite errors on hppa
- Build-depend on libltdl3-dev instead of libltdl-dev
- Drop hardening flags changes
- Drop unneeded versioning on lsb-base (clamav ships it's own status
  function)

Public bug reported:

In memcached.conf, if I set this line:

Then when I run

sudo service memcached start

I observe two strange behaviors:

[Bug 1176159] [NEW] [Lucid] Backport generic detection of Xen kernels for EC2

2013-05-03 Thread Stefan Bader
Public bug reported:

In order to try transitioning from the specially patched EC2 kernels for Lucid,
we are aiming to have the virtual(server/generic-pae) kernels have the required
Xen drivers built-in. At some point the ec2 meta-package could pull people over
to the other kernels.
For that update-grub on EC2 PVM would need to detect the normal kernels to be
usable. This is already done for later releases where this does not depend on
the filename of kernels but on the config options in the config file shipped
with them.
To prepare for this, can we have that change backported to Lucid? Probably
preferring ec2 kernels before others of the same version.

Actually no, that doesn't make sense to me. If you have vnet0 and
eth1 enslaved to br1, but eth1 and br1 don't have an address, then
I'm not sure you can expect to reliably be able to ssh to vnet0's ip
address.

Could you try setting br1 to some reasonable address (203.0.141.1),
leaving eth1 unconfigured (to leave br1 out of the wider world), and
seeing if that helps?

[Bug 1175958] [NEW] New peer relations not created when upgrading charms

2013-05-03 Thread James Page
Public bug reported:

For the OpenStack HA work that we completed this cycle, we introduced
peer relations to most charms to support clustering/scale-out features.

Upgrading from the previous version of the charms (keystone for example)
does not error, but new peer relations are not created; this blocks
upgrading and then clustering openstack deployments built on the current
charm set.

[Bug 1175869] Re: coding error can lead to connections going to localhost rather than desired system

2013-05-03 Thread Robie Basak
Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Ideally this bug would be fixed upstream, and we could cherry-pick the
patch if necessary, until it filters through in a new release.

I have tried to submit this bug upstream, but have not been able to find
an upstream bug tracker. I have tried to contact the author through the
web form, but am not sure if he's got the message.
